Beach wedding

My FH and I are having a beach destination wedding in February 2020. I don’t know what type shoes to wear. Do I wear heels, flats, sandals?

I got married on the beach in Florida in May and after lots of back and forth I decided to go barefoot. I tried flat sandals at the rehearsal and they were really hard to walk in. I bought heels and wore them for pictures and the reception but because the ceremony was on the beach I didn’t wear anything. It’s beach and I wanted to feel like I was at the beach. If you’re going to wear shoes you need to try them ahead of time for sure. Good luck!

I'm wearing white sketches tennis shoes under my dress but my bridesmaids are wearing flat sandals. We are including a dancefloor but they will have a rack for people to take off shoes. I wouldnt wear any type of heel-very difficult for me since I'm 5'11" and my FH is 6'2".

I'm getting married in three months and I still haven't figured that out yet. Heels are out because of the sand, sandals seem to casual, thought about barefoot but sand will be hot. Looking for ideas as well.

I like the feel of kidskin, so I have worn white kidskin ballet slippers to dance on sand at weddings where I had white or a pale pastel long sundress.
( Brides in ice blue or pale gold, so clots of guests in white prints ) But I have seen several brides dancing in white satin ballet slippers with embroidered trim 2pair for under $40, and soft sole keeps you from burning your feet on pavement or boardwalks leading to the beach.

I just ordered some glitter Kate Spade Keds for the reception. But for our beach ceremony I’m planning on going barefoot unless the sand is too hot.

If you choose to be barefoot, have some sandals for backup. I'm always shocked by the heat of the sand. And you dont want to jump down the aisle because it's so hot. Smiley smile

Hello. I’m gonna do those barefoot sandals for the ceremony. Still haven’t decided about shoes for the indoor reception yet.

I haven’t bought them yet. I have some pics saved of some that I like though. I’m gonna do a short heel for my reception.
