Beach Wedding

Tineshia, on December 18, 2019 at 2:05 PM Posted in Planning 0 17
Hello,
I am in the process of planning my wedding. We have agreed on a beach wedding, in Florida. So my question is... when is the best month or months to have a beach wedding? Any advice on planning a beach wedding is welcomed and appreciated!

I am also planning a beach wedding not in florida lol. I think the main things im trying to consider is heat and rain season and humidity for weather months we did pick july for the date(7/4/2020 so I know I may be hot and humid) and also I am taking into fact that sand gets everywhere lol so it will probably ruin the bottom of my dress and i will feel dusty most of the day from the sand! june may be a good month where it's not too hot yet and the rain season should be passes but I would definately look into their climate and weather trends for each month before deciding on it! are you also having the reception on the beach also I would consider a tent if so to keep sand fro. possibly blowing into food or in eyes if its windy.

Thanks Kristyn for the advice. I’m looking to do the ceremony on the beach and have a small reception inside somewhere. So I will probably have to book through a resort.

I wouldn't recommend any time after August-hurricane season!

And had perfect weather. But it’s a risk, like all the ‘winter/fall’ months in Florida. Could be 90 & sticky, could be 50. Whatever month you pick you’re either taking a risk or guaranteed a hot & humid ceremony.

Mine will be in Hawaii in February. We wanted off peak season and are aware it's the end of the "winter" season which is rainy. The weather will be roughly 70, so it will be comfortable weather.

As a native Floridian here, I would personally recommend November-March. Smiley smile This is avoiding hurricane time (July-Oct. are the bad months*) & avoiding overly hot months, which is almost all of the time... For example, I am getting married in March, and the average temp is around 70-75, with lower than "normal" humidity.

We're getting married in Fort Myers Beach, FL. We wanted something super low key so I went with and all inclusive packed from Platinum Florida Weddings and we're doing our reception at Pink Shell Resort. A lot of the beach wedding places do the ceremony in the morning or right before sunset so it's not as hot.

We got married this past May in Clearwater Beach, FL at the Hyatt and they were great to work with. The ceremony was short so it wasn’t too bad as far as the heat. There is always a beach breeze. Good luck!

I’m getting married in July here in FL but I’m used to the heat and it’s in the evening. A nice sunrise wedding or sunset will be nice, avoid hurricane season, and decide which coast line you like more - West coastlines seem to be nicer (calmer and more blue) than East - more rough due to ocean waters but nice waves.

Heather thank you. I haven’t really thought of that idea. I will definitely look into these venues. We’re looking to do something low key as well.
