Hi! So we’re having a beach wedding and reception outside on the deck of the house. For table settings I’m loving this with gold accents which I didn’t think I’d like so much. But will I regret it and think of it as trendy in 10 years?! We will have greenery garland and flowers as candles. I plan for white or ivory table cloths and slate napkins. Help!!!

No, you won't regret it. Many aspects of any wedding will be "outdated" in a decade. That's just the cycle of trends and life and it's to be expected. For instance, about 5 of my friends and I got engaged this year and we all wanted/received yellow gold rings. Yellow gold rings used to be classic and sometimes the only option! (think, your parents generation). For the past 20 years it's been mainly white gold/platinum only and yellow gold was seen as "outdated". Now, it's popular again. Things cycle.

To be honest, I don’t think you’ll give any thoughts at all to your table settings in 10 years. If you love it, go for it. What you’ll remember is that you were happy with it in the moment, and that’s what matters.

I think it’s pretty but trust me that you won’t think about your table settings in 10 years.

Choose what you love. Some elements will just look dated no matter what you choose and others will look timeless. You can’t ever go wrong with gold & classy.

That looks like the china I used. I also had garlands and candles with ivory silk linens. I thought it looked very classic and elegant.
