This was a second wedding for both me and my husband and we wanted it to be relaxed, intimate and fun. And it was! We did the ceremony and the reception on a beautiful beach in the San Diego area. We obtained a permit from the State to hold a wedding and reception with alcohol. We planned the ceremony for 5:00 pm knowing that sunset would be at 6:20 and allow for some great wedding shots.

We rented the arch, tables, chairs, linens, heater and even had a dance floor installed right on the sand. Mexican food was served by an awesome food truck, alcohol in coolers and we had sound for our ceremony and playlist.

We had about thirty guests and everyone had a great time. The weather was perfect and everything was broken down and taken away before high tide later that night.

For those of you thinking of a smaller ceremony like this, I highly recommend it! We enjoyed every minute of our day.

Special shoutout to vendors like SoCalVows - we had a perfect officiant who made our ceremony personal, genuine and with a little humor. They just started offering beach wedding packagers similar to ours where they coordinate everything for you from the food to the photographer. We just used them for the officiating since they weren’t offering that yet when we booked ours.
