Beach Themed Card Box

So I started to make my own card box and then got stuck. I had no idea what to put on the top and the area between the shells where you can see the cardboard box looks tacky to me. Soo.... I decided Ill start over and I need ideas!

Were getting married in Maui and then having a luau-themed reception back here. I do want to incorporate the bamboo onto the box still, and the pink ribbon somehow also. Should I switch to a round hat box? Should i cover the top in Sand? More Shells? Less Shells?

HELP!!!

I think if you covered the top in a bit of sand, and a couple shells it would look nice

I like it!!!! Just get some little beach chairs? spray glue some sand on top.

Hehehe...that box is so friggin cute!!! I love it! I think the sand idea with a few lounge chairs would be adorable!

You can even use what you already have pictured. just smear the glue in between the shells and sprinkle away with the sand! No need to start over IMO

side note- may wanna wait till you get to Maui before you glue the chairs on top...they may get crushed while traveling. (just keep them inside the box till your ready)

Website for chair... but you might be able to find them at the craft stores by the frames..

You can put your picture in there, or your wedding date, the word "CARDS"

You can draw your name or initials in the sand....

Omgosh! so cute, I just had an idea! Use the sand and beach chairs as Hayley suggested and then write your names in the sand with a heart around it!

You could paint under the shells an ocean blue and make the top look like the shore with the sand. As if the shells are being washed up on the beach by waves.
