Hi Everyone!

So technically I had been back to the forum, but our professional photos just arrived. Here they are as promised

We integrated a lot of Filipino and Vietnamese traditions in our wedding, from the coins/cord/veil during Mass to serving an 8 course meal and wearing tradition Vietnamese gowns during the reception.

We really loved our photographer, Mikal from lokitm.com. So, if any of you brides are still looking for a photographer in the OC, CA area, I highly recommend him!

Here are the photos from the reception: names attached to chicken wire, photo book (from our engagement shoot) for guest to sign, and photos of our parents and grandparents from their weddings on display ...as you can see, the theme was very vintage

We didn't have a cake, but we had a dessert table. Considering we had an 8 course meal, hopefully no one missed cake!

It's a Filipino custom to do a "money dance". We had our MC explain it to the non-Filipino guests who weren't familiar with it. I believe the money dance had been a topic of heated debate among some people (since some view it as "tacky") but we had a good response from our guests--Filipino and non Filipino alike. I was very surprised how some of them were very generous. The kids had fun with it too
