I received the two boxes of baby's breath I ordered from Costco today. It was between Costco and Flower Explosion. I wanted the New Love variety of FE but felt safer with my familiarity of Costco which offers Million Star. I went with Costco in the end and I will say I am not disappointed. I ordered it to be delivered today (Wed 10/7, 3 days early) and it was....at 10:30 am as promised. It takes (5) 5 gallon buckets to hold it all and you have to purchase your own flower food! I prepared the water with a little bleach for bacteria and cut the stems at an angle under water. When I started considering BB I found tons of gorgeous images but still clueless how much I would need. For those of you considering it here is a picture of how much 200 stems is. I've yet to actually do anything, but I will add images as I do things. But I wanted to put it out there and give people an idea.

    OP, what does it smell like? Just curious bc a decor woman I spoke to said they have a weird scent. I figured all flowers smell good to me, just curious

    Thank you! I am planning to order our flowers from Sam's and just recently decided to add some other elements to the flowers (BB being one of them).

    All was chaos when my now MIL and 2 SIL's came to help. Stems's were not counted but I took pictures after they were all done. On my trial runs I used 3-4 stems in the white milk vases with the BB balls on top (I used the plastic bouquet holders with floral foam from the craft store and just set it in the vase), but I know with as much BB as we had we used way more to really fill it in.

    1 - Trial with 3-4 stems

    2 - 8 milk glass vases with extra stems

    3 - Various size vases

    Large containers - we had 6 of these.

    With the help of my MIL and 2 SIL's we were able to make all these in 2.5 hours on Thursday morning. Friday I checked and filled everything with more water/flower food just before taking them to the venue to decorate Friday afternoon. On Saturday they all were perfect!! In my trial runs when I bought the BB's from the store some stems started fading and turning brown the next day and I was nervous the BB would not last 2 days until the wedding like they say it will. But everything was gorgeous, opened, and full. Grocery Store BB has been hanging around for a lot longer while Costco/Sams comes directly from the grower, so don't worry it won't last...it will! I also used just a couple drops of bleach to help with bacteria. Hope this helps!

    @Diana

    Baby's breath is what I consider a wild flower and doesn't really have a sweet floral smell. With 200 stems in 5 buckets in my dining area it was powerful. Broken down into small containers and scattered around a large room you really don't smell that much of it at all. I didn't notice the smell during the entire wedding at all.

    I am going to have my whole bouquet be baby's breath with two stems of blue dyed baby's breath from Etsy for a little color. I will keep Costco in mind!

    @Lisa I'm pretty sure you can do the same thing with Sam's. I am considering possibly going through them for reception flowers.

    @MrsA2B babys breath is so pretty!! Can't wait to see more pictures!

    I love the vases and the baby's breath I was thinking of using them for a flower ball with some added carnations for a pop of color
