BABY FEVER...but SO not ready for one...make sense?

Stevie Rae, on November 29, 2011 at 4:35 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 49

So I am a teacher, 3 other teachers are prego right now and due in December and January. I have to admit it is giving me serious baby fever being around them all the time! Getting to feel their babies move (which is the coolest), them always rubbing their bellies, talking about their babies, blah blah blah. And knowing my husband loves kids and can't wait to start . I love kids to, I mean I work with them c'mon! lol BUT I am SO not ready for a baby right now, maybe in 2 or 3 yrs. But sometimes I just get that itch to have a cutie of my own, for now my 8 month old sweet pitbull will have to do! lol Anyone else feel the same?

ALWAYS!!! I got a puppy for DH as an early Christmas present and I figured that would help die it down a bit...but nope. I know we're not ready, and I'd love to have at least a year or two with DH first before we add kids...so I completely understand!

LOL!! We have a 20 month old and he is quickly becoming a boy and not a baby anymore!! Every once in awhile I get the itch to have another NOW! I want a little girl so badly, but I really know and want to wait a couple more years to add to the family. I have friends and coworkers that are pregnant or new mom's and it makes me think... but then my 20 month old throws another tantrum and I am thrust back into reality!! Terrible two are testing my want of another child!!

I really advise newly weds to wait! Juan and I were friends for a couple years before we started dating, but got pregnant after dating less than 5 months!! We didnt really get a chance to travel and party together... we were quickly thrust into "married" life. We dont regret having our son, but it would have been really nice to have the dating time, newly wed time, and then parent time! Once you have a kid you have to schedule everything! Even sex!! LOL... its very draining, and time consuming, yet wonderful.

I have a 9 yr old and Im ready now lol. Although I think we may wait because, as selfish as it sounds, I want it to be about us not muffled up by SIL who is currently pregnant again (she just had one in august) and the other SIL who is TTC. The wedding was all about everyone else's BS and not us so I'd like this to be special to the family as well as us. (his family are drama addicts)

I get the itch once in a while...but I know having kids are something at our age we aren't going to have. I get to spoil everyone else's kids.

It's sad, but when we are ready to retire, we won't have to worry about putting a child thru college.

I have a 4 yr old son and like hes getting big I see other people who are prego and having girls makes me have baby fever. Last yr in the summer I literally had baby fever so bad that I started to cry cause FH said he didnt want no more kids. I told him I want a girl and if he dont want no more kids and I want then I would adopt and he said then I would be on my own. Then out of no where he changed his mind and wanted to try. So we were trying for a month but then I changed my mind and wanted to wait til we get married then I found out I was preg a month later I had a miscarriage since then I been wanted a baby but I've been holding myself and wait after the honeymoon. If it happens it happens but we use condoms only once we didnt. I would love to try sooner. It's all up to FH cause am not taking no BC. That would be my 3rd preg since my first I had a miscarriage then the second my son came and third miscarriage. Ughh

One SIL (whos prego) is on her 3rd and her oldest is only 2 1/2. Both dont work and live off the gov so their our reaction is WTF are you thinking (they also decided to blow off our wedding and not come). The other SIL is TTC and already complaining that SIL is trying to take away her thunder. I will just patiently wait and then it will be our time...and my DH's first biological baby (he claims my son as his)

Crazy baby fever! It certainly doesn't help that I have babies everywhere! 1 of my bridesmaids just had a baby, one is due at New Years, I watch FH nephew (now 8 months) one weekend a month and I just found out another one of my bridesmaids will be 8 months along at the wedding! Lol, I can't wait for post-honeymoon baby making!

LOl ya they def have issues. She was a BM but after she got pregnant it was ALL about her, blew off getting a dress till the last min saying she was broke (yet could afford family trips?) and when she completely blew off my bridal shower and BIL didnt bother to get fitted on time for his tux, I asked them to step down but still invited them to the rehearsal dinner and bach parties (both of which they blew off) but the final straw was the moring of the wedding, BIL sent MIL a text saying "we wont be there tonight because we really dont feel like going".

I think that SIL just doesnt like me because I refuse to bow down and do anything she wants (including babysitting whenever she asks last minute) and MIL and SIL all play nice with her. I dont deal with her crap lol. DH and I just stay out of it altogether

I have an 11 year old and I want him to be a big brother so bad. I am trying to hold off for another year and half that will be just after the wedding but if FH had it his way I might be 9 months preg walking down the aisle. With my ovary issue right now I guess its best we arent!

I understand the itch... We have it too! We just spent the weekend with my niece so it didnt help!

Yeah I definitely get the itch sometimes too because few of my friends have kids but I know we are so not ready! We definitely want to enjoy each other for the first year of our marriage and then we will start after that

I am so ready for one. Just purchased a family car, now we just need to start our family. But since we are honeymooning in Mexico I can't be urber pregnant. So once Feb hit we will really start trying. I can't wait, everyday I tell DH I am ready and he just smiles.
