Azazie Wedding Dresses

Emly, on March 26, 2019 at 10:27 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 18

YOU GUYS!! I'm too exited I just had to share LOL. So I'm on the hunt for dress number 3..(I've made previous posts about my dress drama if you want to catch up haha) I've now gone onto Azazie just to test them out, if you're not aware you are able to try on a sample dress before you buy. I ordered samples of two dresses that I LOVE on the site and want to know what they are actually like. One of the dresses came yesterday and I am over the moon exited about the quality and how dang comfortable this dress is. I'm feeling reserved to say its the one because of what has happened in the past but I'm getting that feeling that I just want to wear it all day. The quality of this dress in particular is great, my only quam with it is that the lace on the shoulders is incredibly itchy... maybe that can be fixed. I cant wait until my other sample dress comes (I was going to wait to write this post until I had both of them but IDK I'm just too exited about this dress).

If you're thinking about trying them out here's a few things to know (in my experience so far obviously this is the only dress I've tried from them so far haha);

- The material is STRETCHY (not cheap feeling though) so it really hugs all my curves very comfortably

- I think they run a bit big - in the picture I am wearing a size 4 and I typically measure a size 6 - I could have probably sized down to a size 2 in this dress.

- I am 5'4 and it is the perfect length for me

- I could literally sleep in this dress that's how comfortable to be in

I would highly suggest giving them a look if you're even a little interested, its totally worth it!

Wow that dress hugs you in all the righ places! I love it! I tried on an Azazie dress that I liked and it didnt feel stretchy at all so maybe it was just the material on that dress. but seriously that dress looks stuning on you!

You look great, and regarding the "itchy lace," that doesn't have to be a deal breaker. Daughter's dress had beaded straps that within minutes left her shoulders bright red and her skin really irritated. During alterations, they lined the straps with soft nude-colored fabric that wasn't at all noticeable and she was completely comfortable all night. I've also read posts about alterations people recommending either a light coating of beeswax on the underside of the itchy material OR the bride using a "body glide" product (available at sporting goods stores -- often used by runners to prevent chafing, etc.), as either puts a barrier between the skin and the itchy fabric. (Daughter's BM's dresses were from Azazie and they were all so happy with the quality, style, cost, customer service, etc. It really is an amazing option!)

How Cool! Congrats on a beautiful dress!! I actually read your comment on another discussion about you dress LOL! I had a couple questions if you don't mind?

    1) I saw you ordered yours in diamond white, do the details and everything look just as beautiful? I am planning on ordering it in white if I go with this dress.

    2) How was your custom sizing?? Were your measurements you entered reflected correctly to the dress? Honestly the sample fit amazing and if I were to go one size down I think it would fit even better and not need any alterations.

Hi Emily, sure!! I know I'll be getting this dress but I'm still playing with sizing because I've been rapidly losing weight. I started with a sample size 14 in diamond white, which I was swimming in. Then I tried a sample size 12 (in champagne), but have lost weight in the time it took to arrive, and now the 12 is loose around my waist. At this rate, I don't know what to do about sizing. I guess it's a good problem to have, but I want to lose another 20lbs and my wedding is in June.. so I don't have time to play around. Azazie's customer service is awesome, so I'm going to email them and see what they suggest. You could email them too if you'd like, they're great! The standard looks perfect on you! Custom sizing seems like a great way to go also (plus it includes reimbursement for up to $50 in any additional alterations you may need), just remember you can't return custom sized dresses. I'll probably go with custom and then expect extra alterations. Think I'll make a separate post about my sizing issue lol.

Anyway, the sample size 14 was diamond white and the sample size 12 came in champagne. In comparing the two, I can see the appeal of the champagne (some of my friends swooned over the champagne), but I think diamond white is definitely for me, the diamond white is just GORGEOUS. The details are really the same and just as beautiful, just picture a pure white underlay instead of the champagne colored underlay. The details still really pop. I may hand-sew some beading detail onto the inside of the flower clusters in the final dress if I have enough time. I didn't get as many good pics of the white as I should have, but here's some:

diamond white, wayy too big! (my sister/ MOH had clamped the back with binder clamps for the picture Smiley laugh )

So, yes there are many beautiful details that are consistent between diamond white and champagne. I think it's just a gorgeous dress. Also, I did not find the lace on either of mine particularly itchy, I wonder if yours was different for some reason (maybe it had been dry cleaned differently or was newer or something).

Also, if you're still veil shopping and are interested, I found a near-perfect match for a veil on Amazon. If you like Mantilla veils, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this veil. Its high quality, very soft, comes with a great sturdy comb, and is just gorgeous. I went with the full lace border, finger tip length, in white. And you can't beat $33!

Oh my gosh, you're awesome! Thank you and congrats on your weight loss, you look amazing! Smiley smile I honestly think this is the dress, I cant stop thinking about it LOL. I'm nervous though, my wedding is over a year away so I'm scared to order it, I don't think ill fluctuate in size much but I do plan to lose some. I'm worried if I order it now it wont fit and ill have to get alterations (I'm moreso scared on how they alter the illusion back) or if I wait maybe they will discontinue the dress. LOL so stressful

Thanks! Smiley smile I would definitely email Azazie's customer service through the website and ask them if they are planning to discontinue the dress. I think it is one of their more popular styles, so I'd be surprised if they had plans to stop making it, but you never know. I have contacted customer service several times and they have been really, really helpful every time!

You look beautiful! I have heard good things about them but I'm cautious about buying a dress online. I found a great deal at a smaller boutique near me and love their dress. I think I will check out azazie for bridesmaid dresses.

I totally get that!! I was so sceptical too but they have the option to try before you buy so it did ease my mind. I actually ended up with a dress from BHLDN and they are awesome too! I hope you find your dress at the boutique you mentioned!! If you do see a dress online you love I would suggest trying in a similar style in the store first. My dress I bought off BHLDN retailed for 1,215 and I got it on sale for 240, to be honest the quality of Azazie is VERY similar to the 1,200 dollar dress. Either way in wish you luck on finding the dress of your dreams!❤
