Average Wedding Band (ring) Cost?

I'm starting to look around at wedding bands and the prices seem to vary widely (naturally). I was just wondering what the average is that people spend? I know everyone will end up with different priced bands that are dependent on their own individual budget, but I figure it's sort of worth spending...

I know everyone will end up with different priced bands that are dependent on their own individual budget, but I figure it's sort of worth spending a bit more because it's going to be on my finger for the rest of my life? Maybe? Is there a point on the price spectrum that starts to lean toward "too much"? I really have no idea so any input is appreciated

Mine ended up being $800, and FH's was $1,200. He had one picked out that was $800 but he didn't love it so we kept looking. We were willing to pay more for the one he loved.

FH and I chose very simple matching white gold bands and purchased them during a major holiday sale. Including tax and the lifetime warranty that makes any and all maintenance, including redipping, free we got both bands for just over $500

We're looking for bands without any diamonds, but my band will have to curved and have some sort of filigree or something to match my e-ring. We both want white gold, probably 14k (on MrsBdeG's educated advice) to be durable but not so strong that you risk losing finger. I'm thinking between $150-400 a piece.

Reading all this is making me feel a bit cheap, but my fiance and I are broke(my parents are paying for the entire wedding). We’re probably going to make a trip to walmart, or go online. Spend about $100 total that way, maybe a lot less depending on what we go for.

Don't feel cheap! My mother and her husband had little brass wedding bands they spent $15 a piece on. They will be married 30 years this fall.

FH's ring is going to be $35 and my wedding ring (he opted for an engagement ring and a wedding ring instead of a ring and band which is fine with me) is $350. The engagement ring I have is $330.

We got cheap rings until after the wedding when we can actually afford nicer ones. Our wedding is already expensive adding the coat of a ring is too much for us.

We spent $350 on mine, warranty included. It's a 14k yellow gold band with diamonds all the way around it from Helzberg Diamonds.

I preferred something smaller and simpler that wouldn't overpower my solitaire engagement ring but would enhance the sparkle. I also have thin fingers so big chunky enhancers and rings looked goofy on me.

FH wedding band is free because he is wearing his grandfathers wedding band who was married to his grandmother for 35 years and unfortunately passed away when FH was a teenager.

That sounds nice! I think that's sort of around where we're looking to stay as far as price goes as well.

Pretty much the same here as far as look and price, now that I've done some looking around Smiley smile I'm thinking we can always upgrade down the line if it's something we want to do

My wedding band was custom-made because my e-ring was not meant to be engagement ring when designed (pictured). It's dematoid garnets, 14-karat karat white gold, and costed $1500. FH's wedding band was $665, also 14-karat white gold (pictured). In addition to these, I also purchased us titanium wedding bands for vacation, beach, camping, etc. His titanium ring was $45 and mine was $55 (pictured). The titanium rings look like white gold rings and are a much stronger material. Knowing what I know now about the difference in cost and durability, we should have gone with the titanium rings to begin with.

My engagement band was a little over $5k but we spent about $900 on the band. Wedding bands are usually less expensive than the engagement ring.

Edit: Oops, you were probably referring to men's wedding bands. I bought his for $500, but it was probably overpriced.

I bought mine at JC Penney on Black Friday for $99, originally $400-something. It's simple, small and dainty and goes well with my engagement ring. FH can't decide what he wants and his reaction to practically everything is "meh" but I imagine his will run anywhere from $200 to $500 based on what we've looked at already

We bought our bands from a local jeweler on Black Friday. We had a 25% off coupon for one item and $100 off a second item. My band is (I think) .39 tctw and is 14K white gold - it was listed at $1625 regular price. The diamonds do not go all the way around (it says 1/4 infinity band, but it looks more like 1/3). FH's band is a simple brushed yellow gold band that was $1100 (originally quoted $950 but because he needed a size 14 it was more).
