Hi ladies! So I was just curious.... What do you think the average price of centerpieces is? Per table? My friends who are married already say no one pays attention to the centerpieces.... I honestly never noticed at weddings until we got engaged! We have round tables that will seat about 8 people probably expecting close to 23 tables. FH doesn't want to spend a ton on flowers that cost a lot and won't last. I can't say I blame him. I found lanterns that could be a cheaper way out without looking cheap. I bought some online but now I'm having buyers remorse. Also worried my florist will be upset with me but she said I have up to 4 weeks before my wedding to change my estimate. A long engagement is making me change my mind about a lot of wedding details... It's driving me crazy!

    Mine were about $10.

They were a vase from the dollar store ($2) and about $7 worth of dollar store flowers, and then about $1 worth of glass stones in the bottom. I thought they looked great. They only looked cheap if you looked closely at them.

We had our guests take the centerpieces home since neither my mom nor I wanted so many of them.

They can cost exactly what you want them to cost. Look at all options. Florists, DIY. research, research research online, in stores all over.

I think people notice the centerpiece but not necessarily the types of flowers you had. Since it seems like your theme is rustic, use a little more filler than you normally would and just make sure you have budget friendly flowers and that they are just in your color scheme. I think half and half lanterns and flowers would look nice too IMO. I also scavenged pine cones from the forest that we are incorporating into the centerpieces for added interest, in lieu of candles.

All that being said, in my area (SoCal) we are being quoted via email, pre-consultation, roughly $35-$50 per centerpiece for what we had in mind.

In total I’m spending about $200 for 20 tables. I used dollar tree vases that we glittered, cut our own wood slabs and am using faux flowers from michaels. At my store, they have a sale bucket for $5 bouquets. They were white and I bought a bouquet of blush flowers to stick in the already made bouquets. I did not want the headache or expense of a florist so I went with faux. They even have stems that look fresh cut. I don’t have a photo right now but here is a similar look I did for my sister’s party that was tiffany blue. Those are my wedding flowers just swapped out the pink with a blue, the glass and base are from Dollar Tree. 😊 Also AC Moore does sales on the lanterns often. You could do a candle and latern centerpiece instead if you don’t want to do flowers!
