August Brides

Any August brides still going on with their wedding? Is it selfish to keep my 9/29/2020 date? We’re getting married on a riverboat and has outside seating. We can have up to 150

Hi! I am getting married 8/28/20 and still plan on having it! That is not selfish at all. You worked hard to plan your wedding! Especially f it is outdoors you will be fine!

Mine is in September. I'm still moving forward as planned. You are not selfish at all. Weddings are a lot of work.

8/15 unless everything implodes! We already postponed once, and we don't want to upheaval all our plans or wait a year. If the venue doesn't postpone then that's the plan.

Moving forward with our August 22 wedding. The vital people already said they are good to go. If other guests are not able or comfortable attending, that's fine. We totally understand. But we are not able to postpone/reschedule.

Wow, your state must be doing well with this virus. Will is just be you and your guests on the riverboat? OMG that sounds like so much fun.

The thing is people have the option to come or not if they don’t want to. Plan your wedding, I work for a company and do photography myself. We have weddings in June July August September and beyond. Your guests have the choice to come or not to come. I mean space chairs out, have bathrooms for hand washing available, I don’t think you or anyone planning to have their wedding soon is selfish.

Still proceeding with Aug. 1st wedding (after postponing June). I agree, guests they have an option to come or not. Ohio just put out today that weddings with up to 300 guests are allowed!

    Hi Sarah,

I agree with the PP. Everyone can decide to attend your wedding or not. As long as your guests respect your decision to move forward with your plans and you can respect their decision to be there or not, I don't think it's selfish to get married as planned. Everyone has to make the best decision for themselves with the information they have. Local government guidance should be considered, of course. Anyone who would have to travel (especially by air) may decide they're not comfortable doing so, and that's something you should expect.
