August 15th 2020 postpone?

I am in CT just north of Westchester and I am considering the same thing. Get married in August with immediate family and bridal party then have the reception in 2021. There just isn't enough information of what restrictions on events will be in August, plus I want my guests to feel comfortable. I'm going to be making my final decision this week but it's how I am leaning.

I'm sorry you have to consider this.

It likely depends on what part of NY you are in - the closer you get to NYC, the harder it is going to be to open up. Even then, masks are likely to be required for quite some time, and most gatherings will be restricted in size, though perhaps bigger ones will be allowed in areas that were not as hard hit.

This is going to be one of those things where you just need to keep your eye on the data, and decide what's best for you.

The best advice we can give is: Have a plan B, be flexible, and don't make *decisions* until you have to.
