Attendee Reminders: How would you approach this?

Sylvia, on July 21, 2019 at 11:15 PM Posted in Community Conversations 1 5

Hi Everyone,

So if you are getting married on August 3rd, so are we! Congratulations!

Question for everyone....

I want to send an email that serves as a "Know Before You Go" and a last minute "Did you change your mind?" notice. Our final numbers are due on this Wednesday. I want to provide as close as an accurate count as I can AND would like to offer others to come if someone cancels.

Would you do this? If so, what words would you use to convey both messages?

I did that! I did an informational email just because our venue can be kind of confusing

Hi Melle - Would you mind sharing the words you used in your invitation. Did you get any "Sorry I can't come now" responses?

    Here’s what we sent:

    ”Hi (name)

We are finalizing the details for our wedding with our venue and caterer, and just wanted to double check if you had any food allergies or restrictions, or if you would like to request a vegetarian meal (in general, you can just choose your meal at the reception, but vegetarian meals will only be provided if they are requested in advance).

Also just wanted to make sure you knew, the ceremony is set to rel="nofollow" start at 12 noon(meaning the doors will be closed and the processional will be starting at that time) so you'll want to make sure to arrive with plenty of time to sign the guest book, find your place card, and get a good seat (we're recommending to arrive rel="nofollow" between 11:30am and 11:45am).
We can't wait to see you there!”
