Okay I admit not everyone will agree with me on this but I have to vent about it anyway. I have been looking at dresses online for awhile to get an idea of the style that I like. Okay I admit not everyone will agree with me on this but I have to vent about it anyway. I have been looking at dresses online for awhile to get an idea of the style that I like. Is it me or does every dress have Tulle on it these days? For me personally I HATE TULLE!! cant stand it one bit! and I keep seeing more and more dresses with it and its driving me nuts. I keep looking at pictures and love the bodice of the dress and then look at the skirt and its Tulle, and all I can think in my brain is THE TULLE MONSTER ATTACKS. Sorry ladies I had to vent on this one. and again if you like it more power to ya, you should have no problem finding a dress.

My dress does not have any tulle, but my runner-up dress did. I guess for me it really depends on the style of the dress rather than what it is made of.

I don't have any tulle. I don't mind it though. The only fabric that was a big NO was taffeta. It makes me think of a windbreaker and I would drive myself insane with all of the swishing lol

You're right, there are a lot of dresses that do have tulle. Personally, I'm not a fan of it myself, I don't like how it looks. But there are also tons of dresses that have none. My dress is organza, though there might be tulle underneath to give the slight poof of it's A-line shape. Not to worry though, you will find something you love and in a fabric you like (that isn't tulle *lol*)!

I hated tulle until I found my dress also. I told the consultant I didn't want to try any on because I knew I wouldn't like it...and I ended up loving it.

Mine had no tulle but organza ruffles instead. The bridesmaids will all have tulle cocktail dresses...I think tulle skirts will up the fun factor in them.

@Future Mrs. T: That was the runner up to my dress. Smiley smile

@Blondie123: We can agree to disagree on the liking of the pickups, yes? Smiley smile

@Kelsey: I said the same thing! The consultant pushed me to try on a taffeta one, and I told her flat-out, "I feel like I'm wearing a windbreaker dress. Can I take it off now? Please don't bring me any more taffeta!!"

Edited, to add pic of my dress. Smiley tongue Everyone else has! Smiley xd

I think tulle can look nice. I ended up with an all tulle dress!! I can't post, since I'm on my phone. But I loved how light weight it was in comparison to satin. And since my venue is all outdoors, and it could be pretty warm, so I needed a dress that wasn't super heavy.

I definitely didn't set out looking for tulle, but it what I ended up with, mine is all tulle with a v neck.

    ETA: it's also tea length.

My dress is satin. Charmeuse. Matte. I gotta say, I like tulle better than all over lace. The lace dresses are pretty, but everyone and their mom is doing a lace fit and flare/mermaid. Those dresses are so trendy, IMO, that in 30 years it'll be this generations poufy sleeve.

I have found that I am not a fan of certain types of tulle. Some have more of a cheap rough look/feeling others are very soft and flowy. My dress has no tulle! But the dress I thought was the dress did and the tulle was actually what I didn't like about the dress... However, my dress has pickups and taffeta (I didn't realize at first that it was) but I am not a fan of BUT love it in my dress and the taffeta didn't feel like the other ones I tried on. I guess like tulle not all taffeta is the same.

My original dress was a mori lee taffeta, then I went to davids bridal with a girlfriend who kept telling me to go try others since I picked 1st one and bought it!!! Lady at DB insisted I try on this particular dress with the bottom having tulle and I fell in love!!! So I guess what I'm trying to say is sometimes what we have our heart set on might not be the right one, open up your options Smiley smile

That's how I feel about pickups.

And my dress has no tulle either. Maybe one or two layers underneath to fill out the skirt, but not enough to make it heavy.
