Asking for Addresses

My cousin got married a few years ago so I will be getting most of mine from her, the rest are FH fam and I will be leaving that up to him

I FB messaged the ones I felt I was responsible for. My Mom and FI and his mom got the rest.

My aunt had gotten married the same year I got engaged, so I got a big chuck of my part of the GL from her list she sent me. Only people left were my dad's side and my friends. My dad side isn't as big, so I had my step mom ask, it took her forever but I got them. I just texted my friends. FH never got addresses other than his local friends (that's about 22 invites/ 40 people), he send a stack of 50 to his dad and a stack of 50 to his maternal grandmother and had them basically decide who to invite from his family.

My sister just recently got married, and then FH's brother just recently got married, so they both gave us those lists for family members and then we either called/texted/Fb messaged our friends/anyone else.

Ugh, I have to collect mine soon. My invites came in last week. I only sent out 8 STDs to possible OOT guests.

I texted and Facebook messaged everyone I could, got family addresses from my parents...and my fiancé messaged everyone he invited in some way...we had everyone's current address in less than a week.

I created a Google spreadsheet with three tabs: one for me and FH, one for the FILs, and one for my parents. Then I just asked my mom and FMIL to get the addresses for the guests they wanted to invite and add it to the sheet. I'm assuming they just texted, emailed, or already had the addresses. And the rest I had a bridesmaid get (since she knew almost all of them) or I just texted myself and asked. Friends get excited when you ask because they know they made the list!

I'm getting all family addresses from mom and FMIL. Others I am just going to ask.

I need to start getting them since a lot of people don't know them. (yes really.) I plan on Facebook messaging/calling to get the addresses.

Everyone that each set of parents requested on our list, I got the addresses from that parent. Otherwise, I got the address myself.

For the most part I either had them or our parents did. The only addresses we had to awkwardly ask for was from people we are inviting from work. FH had it kinda easy, he gave one of the ladies in the office a list and asked for addresses. I don't have that kind of office so I had to ask them all.

I was wondering too which would be the best avenue in getting the addresses. Thanks!

We have a (Private) Wedding Group on Facebook and we asked for addresses through that (we also keep our guests informed through it) ...but most of the addresses we had from previous events!

You're over-thinking, but the info could be wrong. I gave up on a lot of the address stuff and ended up sending a lot through email. Love the idea would make many faint, it worked out perfectly. I got my RSVPs right away, people appreciated getting them this way and not using up the trees to do so. The only people I had to track down where the ones where I had to send a paper invite to.

Facebook group, my aunt, and my fh mom. Luckily my cousin just got married so I got my familys addresses easily.

Facebook or text messages. I also had my mom gather a few from my great-aunts and uncles...she just called them.

I didn't really have much difficulty, I was able to gather almost all of the addresses within a week.
