Yes, you should feed your vendors (DJ, photographer, coordinator...). Most of them have it in their contracts as well. Anyone providing more than 3 hours service should be fed.

Yes. Your vendors are working 8+ hours with no break and no opportunity to leave to go to a drive thru. If they don’t eat, they can’t do their job. Many vendors have it listed in the contract that the meal is equivalent to what guests are served minus alcohol.

Yes you should absolutely feed them. And like the other poster mentioned some might even have it in their contract that they are required to be fed.

Yes, you should feed the vendors who will be there all day as well as your officiant (this is a courtesy invitation where I live and they almost always decline if they are not also a friend of the couple). For final headcount, you should reach out and ask how many staff your vendors will have on site so you know how many people you are feeding (for example, the photographer may have an assistant). Some vendors will have in their contract that they receive the same food as guests or that they will receive a hot meal.

Absolutely. Plus some have it in contract. My photographer states he requires the same meal as everyone else or he’s allowed 45 minutes to leave and get food. We will be feeding wedding party/vendors breakfast in the morning that will be at the venue early since that’s where we get ready. Then we’ll have lunch for our wedding party/vendors early afternoon (photographer, videographer, coordinator etc) and then everyone gets dinner. And that includes everyone. Our officiant is welcome to stay and eat, photographer, videographer, coordinator, DJ etc

It is usually standard to feed your vendors who will be at the wedding for the whole (or most of) the whole time. Make sure to include them in your guest count for meal purposes. I emailed each of my vendors asking which entree they would prefer. Some of my vendors declined the offer, as they didn't like to eat a full meal during their work and preferred to bring their own meals/snacks. Your vendors will appreciate you asking!

Definitely feed your vendors, some of ours will only be there a short time. For most they'll be there almost the entire evening so counting on feeding them during the reception.

Yes it is I plan on feeding them why should they go elsewhere or wait until they get home. So just counted them in our guest count.

Definitely feed them! We fed ours and they were happy to have something to eat and a moment to sit down and relax.

How many does this work out as? Maybe 5? as examples -- 2 photographer team, 1 DJ, 1 coordinator, 1 security person. The caterer would take care of its staff, I'm sure.

My venue offers “vendor meals” so I guess the 4 vendors will be getting whatever that is , I can’t recall.

That sounds like a good option. Otherwise, the regular meals -- just say that vendors might like a tip instead.

We ended up paying for 12 vendor meals because we needed to include wait staff/bartenders as well.

I would have thought the waitstaff would automatically be fed if they are working for the caterer.
