Are you inviting your officiant to join you at the wedding reception? Why or why not?
We invited our pastor, and a couple of the other pastors and wives from the church. We told the DJ too - so we are expecting clean music. We are not having an open bar, so we aren't worried about anyone getting too drunk too early. We are close with the church families, so we wanted them to be included in our celebration!
In our case he is a friend, so yes. In any other case i feel if theyre traveling its almost rude not to invite them to stay - but then again its another plate to pay for...

If it were my family pastor , yes. However he bailed so our back-up is not currently invited to stay, but perhaps after we meet him I would be open to it.
