Funny story - Timehop reminded me that my FB status the day after our first date was "bad decisions make good stories" and I jokingly told him that if we ever got married that is what I'm putting on his ring. He completely surprised me with the proposal 3 days later.

What are you doing with yours?

This is my beauty that I picked up this week!

We're planning on getting our bands engraved that says "chi woch echan" which means "i love you" in Q'anjob'al. My FH is Guatemalan and it's his family language.

I engraved mine. wasn't really planning on it originally but when i went to order it, the option was there so i thought, "why not?" i just engraved it with my new initials and our wedding date "JLF 3-7-2015"

he's not engraving his. i don't think he'd want to anyway. i don't really care either way. lol.

Mine is too narrow, but I am having his engraved with "I love ya, boy."

I just picked up our engraved rings. He has a nickname for me and our date in his, I have My Love and our date in mine. I really feel like it adds something that is just for you and him even if it is something as simple as the date.

We got ours engraved with our spouse's name and wedding date, which is pretty traditional. I love wearing a ring with his name on it though.

My ring says "Mine" - hubby's initials 8/25/13. I can barely read it but I freaked out when I first had it done because they put the wrong initials!

Elyse, I wouldn't worry too much about the cost. H's ring included free engraving, but I paid Kay to do it and it wasn't that much (probably $100 max). If you bought the ring there, they might throw it in for free.

@Elyse, we did first names. So mine says FH's first name and our wedding date and his says my first name and our wedding date.
