Hi! Ok, my fiancé has one of the longest names on Earth. He requested that I do my best to get his full name on one line. Lol! Our theme is Victorian/Upscale Fairytale. Thank God I excelled in my creative writing classes in college. ❤ Real copy below with our fonts. Date is incorrect on this copy....

Our theme is Victorian/Upscale Fairytale. Thank God I excelled in my creative writing classes in college. ❤ Real copy below with our fonts. Date is incorrect on this copy.

When he read it, he had tears streaming down his face. That made my tummy do a flip flop. This tough, handsome jock, whom I love with all of my heart, loved the wording. I'd just like to know what you'd think if you received an unusually worded invite? I'm hoping that gives the clue that the wedding has a vintage theme. We aren't changing it, but I value your opinions so much. Big hug and a kiss you each of you!! 💕💖💕 Thanks!!

Hi! My inspiration was the newest CINDERELLA with Lily James. Not that new now. They were making a proclamation with "Hear ye, Hear ye......" It is an invitation. I purposely did not use the words invite or request because it is a more modern wording. But it does say I will be given in marriage on thus and forth day, just not grouped the way we are used to seeing it written. My guests know what a fairytale lover I am and will understand. Plus, the main mission was to get "William Montgomery" on one line, and thankfully I did. Thank you so much for your input. I appreciate it very much!! ❤

You did a wonderful job on the wording and that has a vintage feel. The font and background are too modern and i think it takes away from the overall vintage feel. The font might even still work if it looked more like old parchment. I'd just mess around with font and background looks

Double decked edge makes my heart sing! Go you! Any thoughts on adding a crest?

Also meant to ask, are you sharing a dress code? I would personally dress lovely and I would make sure my FI would. But what about those who don't understand what invitations mean/look.

    Hi Kimberly,

Thank you! This is just a mock-up. The real invitation is a French fold parchment with double deckle edge. Beautiful, antique ivory. I appreciate your thoughts and input. 💕

I'd love to add a crest, but this is actually a Disney invitation and this one does not offer a crest. Great idea, though!! We did check! Great minds!! 😊

    Hi again!! 💖
Yes, our wedding website is full of suggestions on what guests should wear to our early morning formal ceremony. I'm a professional milliner, hat designer, and I expect many of the ladies may wear a hat. Not required. We absolutely adore each person we've invited, no one will be turned away because of what they wear. Plus we are a bit eccentric down South. Ha! Ha! Here's what the groom and groomsmen are wearing.

I love the wording. Personally, I get a more Renaissance feel from the verbiage rather than Victorian.

As an aside, FH is wearing a morning suit too! No hat though and with an ascot rather than a tie.

You are entirely correct, it is more of a Renaissance verbiage with the house of this and the house of that. I appreciate your thoughts. Everything else will be Victorian/ Fairytaleish

Im so excited your FH is wearing a morning suit, too!! I'd love to see your wedding photos. I love the morning suit. Can't wait!! Congratulations!!

Makes me think fairy princess and I dislike that, kind of makes me feel ill. It is a wedding, not a princess party. Not vintage at all. Sorry.

Thank you so much for your input. It's ok if you don't care for the wording. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. It made my groom happy and that was my goal. I appreciate your opinion. I also know it's hard to disagree when so many others like it. Best wishes on your wedding!!
