Archaic worded wedding invitation. Love, like, or hate? 💍

Hi! Ok, my fiancé has one of the longest names on Earth. He requested that I do my best to get his full name on one line. Lol! Our theme is Victorian/Upscale Fairytale. Thank God I excelled in my creative writing classes in college. ❤ Real copy below with our fonts. Date is incorrect on this copy....

Our theme is Victorian/Upscale Fairytale. Thank God I excelled in my creative writing classes in college. ❤ Real copy below with our fonts. Date is incorrect on this copy.

When he read it, he had tears streaming down his face. That made my tummy do a flip flop. This tough, handsome jock, whom I love with all of my heart, loved the wording. I'd just like to know what you'd think if you received an unusually worded invite? I'm hoping that gives the clue that the wedding has a vintage theme. We aren't changing it, but I value your opinions so much. Big hug and a kiss you each of you!! 💕💖💕 Thanks!!

I get a theme vibe. Not Victorian, and I also don't get a fairytale vibe because I think I would expect to see a crest/coat of arms, and more design flourish.
    I like your invitation 😊

I love this! Very fancy and I’m definitely picking up the vintage/medieval feel. It actually kind of reminds me of GoT.

Thank you, Nas!! Truly appreciate your input. BTW, it's a French Fold parchment invite with a beautiful deckle edge. Has a hand drawn looking castle on the front.

Very unique!! It made me think of the Middle Ages too- like knights and kings. Even if people don’t imagine exactly what you had in mind, I think it gives the general idea of old/vintage/fancy/fairytale. Just out of curiosity, what exactly is the theme (or maybe “how are you creating the vintage theme?” is a better question)? Sounds like fun!!

Hi Heather! Cinderella is part of our theme. Having a huge cake with a tufted frosting pillow with a real crystal slipper on top. Our names and date engraved, too. We are getting married in his family's 158 year old church of which they are a founding family. The church is quaint, very historic and doesnt allow weddings any longer, except for a founding family member. People were not being respectful of its age and history while decorating. We are making metallic pumpkin centerpieces that we found on Pinterest. Also using real white pumpkins. Having a string quartet play only classical music. My gown has a Victorian vibe as well as the mens attire. Using old-fashioned flowers in our arrangements. Planning on using a Victorian patterned china and crystal pattern during the reception. Hope, I've given you a peek into our day, which isn't fully planned, yet. Thank you so much for your interest and kind words.

Love the fonts! The wording, although I don't care for the "gives" part, does give off an old fairytale feel, but is this an invitation or an announcement? It reads as an announcement and doesn't actually invite or request anyone's presence.

Thank you, Annie. It was so important to my FH to have his two names on one line. I had to come up with something where the surname was in a different spot.
