April Fools Day Wedding

Not getting married on April 1st, but my RSVP deadline is April 1st.

I really hope no one is going to be stupid and RSVP with a plus 6 or something.

I'm getting married on April 1st as well! The date is special to us too and we even got engaged on April fool's haha. The question definitely gets tiring, but it's best to just ignore it and vent to someone when you feel like slapping someone in the face As long as you and your loved one know it's special to you, it won't matter what anyone else thinks. But I can definitely relate!!

I got proposed to on April 1st and everybody questioned it as well. It's a special date to us and you shouldn't let anybody get you upset over what you two picked

Met a couple at the tux shop who is. Thought it was cute. Lol the groom said he wanted a day he would not forget.

My birthday is on April Fools Day. So I've been dealing with the same lame jokes since I was one! My family used to make a tradition out of getting me joke presents to open, making me pretend I loved an ugly gift until they shouted "April Fools!" That fun little game stopped the year I turned 16 and my grandma's gift to me was a big paper bag of clothes- she said she didn't have time to wrap them, which was suspicious because my grandma always wraps gifts with a nice card. They were all hideous clothes, and I said "Haha, very funny." It was my real gift.

As long as your loved ones know the date is special to you, that's what matters!! Just let the lame joke makers have their moment and move on You can always keep a list of the repeat offenders on hand so you know who to prank at your wedding- kidding (kind of)!

I am getting married on April 1, as well. I have had to explain to many people why we chose this date.

I would just smile and say to those people that are questioning the date "well, guess you'll have to come and find out if I actually show up!" And laugh with an awkward look on my face... they will just be confused lol

I'm getting married April 1st! Many peopel didn't even make the April Fools day connection. I haven't gotten any crap for it. Some people ask if we picked that day specifically for the April Fools day connection or if it was just an available day at the venue....it was just an available weekend.

Lol thanks all. Some pretty funny responses. FH and I will have been together 7 years on that date, well actually March 31. He always teases that April 1 is the date, and now he will be right. That is usually my response. Sometimes it just a simple, what can I say we are just fool's for each other.

If I saw an invitation for a wedding on April 1, I might giggle a little bit, but then realize that it's a Saturday during the spring. Of course there's going to be lots of weddings on it. I'm sure your day will be beautiful and people will eventually get tired of telling the same jokes.

It's a good day, only had a couple people ask if we were seriously going to get married that day.

Most people joke that I showed show up an hour late or something.
