Anyone still having their wedding this Oct? Honeymoon?

Sherry, on June 21, 2020 at 10:32 PM Posted in Honeymoon 1 14
We are still planning on our original wedding date of 10-10-2020. We are in SC but our vendors are saying everything is still on for now. I’m trying not to worry about it too much. However, I am a little concerned about going anywhere on our honeymoon. Anyone else in this situation? Any suggestions? Thanks!!! 🥰

My wedding is oct 23. I still have stuff to plan but I’m just waiting. My reception isn’t open yet so that’s holding us back from sending our Formal Invites. At this point we are thinking of just having our church ceremony and that’s it but I don’t know. It’s so hard to tell what’s going to happen or what’s opening

It’s definitely hard to plan for such an uncertain future. My wedding is Oct 24 in rural NC. I’m getting married that day whether I can invite everyone or not, but if as we get closer things shutdown again, then I’ll see about postponing the reception, and maybe even having a vow renewal with that. But as for our honeymoon, we’re only doing a 2 night mini moon (unless we’re still on a remote learning plan and I can swing some work from the cabin, as I’m a kindergarten teacher and I can’t take off but so much when kids are in class). But so we’ve reserved a cabin in the mountains to just get away from it all for a short bit. We’ll plan something longer later.

We will definitely still get married on Oct 10 even if our plans needs to change a lot. I’m guessing if we do that we will do a vow renewal with full reception sometime next year. I looked at cabins in Gatlinburg just now.... I’m thinking possibly something at the Outer Banks now.

Gatlinburg isn’t still on my list, but I’d definitely like to have longer to spend there than just a weekend. The Outer Banks is nice, the weather is still mild and possibly hot in early October, and less crowds than summer. Things are open, so I would look to go ahead and book, but check the fine print to see if they allow refunds or date changes in case the county or state were to decide to restrict travel again. Just as a precaution, a precaution that none of us ever thought we’d really be taking.

We're getting married on 10/10 in NC. Our venue is giving us the green light, but we canceled our big Europe honeymoon. We're planning to go either in the spring or for our 1 year anni. We're looking at going to Nashville for the weekend, but waiting it out a little bit before booking.

Wedding date twin. Yes, we are so worried about the wedding and honeymoon. We booked our honeymoon to Cancun a year ago because of my fiance's coworkers knew a booking agent for a discounted price. The situation is so scary at the moment, but we are moving forward since our venue will not let us postpone. I am not sure what will happen with Cancun trip as the promotion does expire in December.

Twin Dates and yes, we are still a go with our wedding in the Keys. Florida itself has become another hotspot and all we can do is cross fingers and hope it all pans out. Can't worry, we're actually going to be sending our invitations out in the next two weeks (It's a destination for all) and continue with plans until we're told otherwise.

We are still getting married Oct. 17 in middle TN. We were supposed to go to St. Lucia on the 19th, but my FH's passport has been delayed due to COVID and it is stressing us both out wondering if it will get here in time. We are planning on rescheduling our St. Lucia trip and staying in Gatlinburg for a couple days after the wedding.

We are still getting married 10/23 but have postponed planning our honeymoon. We planned to have a “mini-moon” and just rented a bed and breakfast close by the venue for the night of the wedding and one extra night to recuperate/recharge. We had planned to go to Olympic National Park for our honeymoon but are going to wait for probably a year at least until the covid situation calms down.

My wedding is the same day as yours! Our venue is still on, my wedding coordinator hasn't given me any restrictions yet (I'm sure there are some). I'm worried about the "No bar & No dancing" rules that Massachusetts has right now (we are getting married in NH). I'm also worried that a lot of people won't show =(

However, we cancelled our honeymoon. We were supposed to go to Disney for a week and I didn't want to wear a mask the entire time. Im bummed about that, but, we are hoping we can go in the Spring.

My wedding is postponed, but we leave for our honeymoon Monday! I'm a bit worried about the flight since American Airlines is back to full capacity. We plan to just mask up, sanitize, and be extra diligent. The resort we are visiting is taking great precautions, and we will mostly be outside. We're also planning to self-quarantine for two weeks when we get back just in case!

    Good luck with your wedding!

I’m still getting married on Oct 24 this year. We’re still renting a cabin for 2 nights which was our original plan. I’m a teacher and can’t take much time. But our cabin is in a more remote place, we’re planning to go hiking and get apples.
