We are still hoping for our May 31st wedding in Colorado. We have contacted our venue who said that right now things will still go as planned but if we need to postpone we can.

No matter what, we will be having our May 30th wedding. Currently planning on the reception as well. None of our vendors have talked to us about cancelling, yet.

Our wedding date is May 4th (Star Wars theme) in Colorado. As of right now, we are planning to proceed. Over the past few weeks, I have had a lot of anxiety (and some tearful moments) just now knowing whether we will be able to have our special day as planned and not put any of our guests at risk. We have decided to hire a cleaning crew to disinfect our venue - it's a private venue that is only rented for special events, but fortune favors the prepared - and we are talking about making some minor changes to our pre-wedding plans (such as having our rehearsal dinner at home versus going to a restaurant, looking into hiring someone to come do our hair and nails in-home, etc.) and we will do what he have to do to make our day magical and fun while keeping our selves and our loved ones safe. We only have a few people flying in from different states, so we have the option to book a block of hotel rooms and make sure they are diinfected for our guests as well. Our wedding date is so closely tied to our theme that I would hate to postpone, but if it comes to that, we will. My hope is that since they have now closed down all restaurants and bars, etc. for a few weeks, it will decrease the number of people getting sick, and we will be somewhat out of the woods by that time.

May 23rd in Oregon. It's scary with the 8 week 50 person or less thing going on... but it's too soon for us to have to deal with cancelling. Plus, our venue is self-owned (reception is an armory, so it would be easy to reschedule with them, too) so we don't have as much pressure to get out early.

I moved my May 9 wedding to April 2021. I could not imagine putting people at risk. My sister is pregnant and my grandparents are 90.

My wedding is May 3 and it’s a destination wedding in NC. This is within the 8 weeks. We are waiting a few weeks before deciding but it would be awful If someone was carrying the virus with no symptoms and infected everyone else. We will still be getting married on May 3 it just May be in our backyard.

Just postponed my May 23rd wedding with the recommendation of our planner. We will probably have a small ceremony that day then a bigger ceremony/reception at our original venue later this year. it was getting too stressful to hope things will get better by then and better safe than sorry

Our wedding is scheduled for May 2nd in PA. Our venue is waiting out our current 2-week mandatory shutdown and will reassess once we see how things play out. At this point we’re hoping to move forward, but if our venue cancels on us, we’ll have our marriage license on Monday (we applied early just in case the courthouse closes!!) and will get married on May 2nd with our immediate family (a total of 10 people, counting our officiant) as long as our officiant is still willing to perform the ceremony. If that happens, we’ve decided to scrap the plans for a formal reception and just do a BBQ/ picnic in the summer, when we are able to do so safely. The most important thing is that I marry the man I love on the date that we’ve been planning for, surrounded by the people I love most.

My best advice is to have a backup plan, or a series of backup/ contingency plans- having them is helping to keep me sane... and wine, that helps too Smiley smile
