Anyone opting to use an Airbnb for their wedding? Possibly in northern Ca?

Kirsten, on March 4, 2021 at 10:27 PM Posted in California Planning 0 5
My venue is just still completely closed. We've not had a tasting or details meeting. My fiance and I originally had a wedding guest list of 120 people but now would rather have just our family and some friends there, so more like 50 people. Anyone had luck using an Airbnb?

We are using an Air BnB in Southern California for our daughters wedding in October. She did the same, went from 110 down to 70 guests. Just make sure to reach out to the owners to make sure it is allowed. Our's had an individual contract for weddings and we did pay more than the air bnb price

Gotcha! Thank you for the tip. Did she have issues with some of her vendors because of the switch of venues?

We lost our photographer due to date change. The original wedding was all-inclusive so vendors weren't an issue for the new one. I just had to find everyone!

Hi Kirsten! I'd make sure to check in on AirBnB and the host's personal policies. Last August AirBnB initiated a "Global Party Ban" against events during Covid-19, and set an occupancy cap at 16 people.

But if you want to do something really intimate for 10-15 people, a rental home could be perfect!

I would try Peerspace. On it are venues specifically for events/parties and a good handful have tables/chairs available to rent or at least a contact list of vendors.
