Anyone not wearing traditional wedding shoes?

I am not a heel person. I absolutely can't stand wearing them. They make my feet hurt so bad, so to avoid buying shoes to wear for an hour I decided to go with these (pic below). Anyone else going non traditional

    I love your Chucks!

I am wearing purple Chucks - refuse to buy heels I will never wear again, and I am clumsy enough without the heel.

ETA: FH is 6'5" I am 5'4", we live everyday with that height difference and the wedding day will be no different.

I'm not a fan of sneaker style shoes with formal gowns...but it's your wedding, your shoes, so do what you want! This is one of those things that you have total control over as the bride. I'm wearing heels with my dress, but I'm also really comfortable in them, and they're a champagne/gold color so I'll likely wear them with nice outfits again after the wedding. I was especially excited when I put my heels on for the first time with my dress and discovered that I won't need any hemming since the dress length with the heels was perfect!

Those are cute. I'm wearing heels but will have flats in waiting for when my feet get tired.

I physically can not wear heals since my accident.... so yeah, I will be somewhere in the flat shoe realm. I might have a short dress if things go as planned, so I am looking at Shoes of Prey to have some custom flats done in my awkward size then sending them to get them all sparkled up ...but I am still not sure on the sparkle part yet.

My girls are talking about wearing chucks. I told them to do whatever they want =)

I found a very nice lady on Etsy to make me and the entire bridal party custom shoes their Converse are going to Dr. Who inspired and mine are going to be Dr. Who/ Star Trek inspired since those are my two favorite shows and I wanted a way to incorporate them without having everyone roll their eyes. Also then I will have them to wear everyday after and for me that's a score!

I'm wearing red sequin sperrys. December Christmas themed wedding, red silver and white for colors. My bridesmaids will have on silver ones, my flower girl will wear white ones. I'm not into wearing heels all day long and originally planned on wearing flip flops. But this way I'm comfortable and my toes aren't cold.

I'm wearing flat sandals, I don't think that's not really "non-traditional" but I'm at least not wearing heels. My FH is a bit shorter than me so I'm not used to ever wearing heels and always feel like a giant when I do. My favorite thing to wear are flip flops but I didn't want to make that sound all day so I got pretty sandals. When my sister got married she paid around $100 for fancy heels and she debated bringing a pair of shoes to change into but decided she spent that much she was going to get use out of them. She said that was her only regret, her feet were killing her (since you're pretty much standing all night) and no one sees them except maybe in the garter toss.

@MrsPope I think your shoes are great. It still has a wedding feel with the bling but it'll be comfortable!

Don't know how traditional or nontraditional these are, but it's what I'm wearing! Fh is wearing guy Louboutins, took some convincing LOL. I'm in heels all day at work so I will rock these for a few hours. Just put Dr Scholls for Her in them.

I am going to be wearing heels for the ceremony that are sangria colored. Then I am switching to custom converse for the reception. Who cares what other people think. My thoughts are if you are comfy, then you are happy!

I am wearing a very small heel but mine are Orange, they are dyed to match my daughters dress and the ties of my men. I am really short and since I am getting married outside and have to walk on uneven pavers and stones I figured the smaller the heel the better. And since I had to shorten my gown cause of my height I told then I would rather it be a tad bit on the shorter side cause I LOVE my shoes and do not care if they show a little bit. :-) You go with what makes YOU happy.

Heels for me. FH is 6'1" and I'm barely 5'2". I wear heels all of the time so I'm not too worried about my feet hurting. I am planning on bringing a different pair of shoes, just in case, but I'm thinking that I won't need them but would hate to not have them if I do need them. Here are the ones I'm wearing.

I'm wearing boots! I think you should totally wear what ever you feel comfortable in! I'm so tired of hearing people say sneakers, or boots are sooo over rated and they have seen them too much! Well guess what I think that HEELS are over rated! lol so wear them sneakers girl!

I'll be wearing chucks, as will the groom and all the groomsmen (not sure on the bridesmaids - haven't found their dress yet, so that will determine it). Chucks are so us! They're basically the only shoes we ever wear, so wearing them at the wedding just makes sense to us. I'm not a heals girl and I'll be moving around a lot, so I don't want to twist an ankle!
