I picked mine out online, and it looked very different in person. I haven't loved it, but I'm learning to work with it and am hoping to find a great band to match.

I had told FH certain things I liked/didn't like in engagement rings. We did go to a store just to size my ring-and that helped looking at different settings. I just asked for small diamonds on the sides and no heart shaped diamonds haha. He picked everything out himself and I love my ring-I don't think I could have chosen better.

I'm obsessed with my ring!! I had NO clue my FH had even started looking at rings, so you can imagine I was a little shocked when he proposed. I had no input, and he designed it himself. He did, however, ask my best friend her opinion before he bought it. It is absolutely perfect and I never could've hoped for a more beautiful ring. The fact that he took so much time and effort to do everything himself means the world to me.

I don’t not like mine but other than the stone shape, it is nothing like what I described to my fiancé. I’ve been thinking of how to bring it up because I don’t want to hurt his feelings but at the same time I want to love it, but right now I just love that he gave it to me and asked me to marry him. The ring itself doesn’t have much sentimental value to me. Jeez I’m awful for saying that, but’s it’s my truth.

Picked mine out and bought it at James Allen. I had already designed it and put a deposit on a stone. I had a custom quote in their system and he just said, "You know exactly what you want. Here's the card." I did. I'm ecstatic with how it turned out and it's gorgeous.

Me. I don't like it. I wasn't able to try on any rings to see which would look best since I have a large ring size, and they didn't carry any rings in the style I wanted. We weren't educated on jewelry, and now know better. I will be getting a new ring later this year.

I designed mine on james Allen. I had picked out a stone and setting. I knew I wanted a double pear sapphire with diamonds on the band. Of course, I couldn’t find it anywhere. I loved the Neil Lane double halo pear, but wanted the sapphire in the middle. But they wouldn’t let me purchase it without the center diamond and it was above our budget with the diamond. So I stumbled upon James Allen and had a custom quote done several months before for a pear double halo ring and they were able to make it to me despite the setting being discontinued. I designed my ring and fiancé was like, you know exactly what you want it’s all designed, and gave me the card to make a purchase. I adore my ring

…..Anyone NOT like their engagement ring ? 1

I absolutely HATE mine. I generally don't like 3 stone rings and HATE cluster rings. Fiance ended up getting me a cluster ring made to look like a 3 stone ring from Kohl's. We had discussed what I like and he went and combined 2 of 3 things that I don't like. And we had also both agreed that this would be something that we would do together considering how picky I am about things. I'm definitely more of an art deco/eclectic/boho person and when I look at this ring, despite it being "pretty", all I see is cheap, dated and costume jewelry. Of course I told my fiancé that I would like something else. Explained to him why. After about the 6th conversation over some months, I had to accept that he is not going to be replacing this ridiculous ring. He says he loves it and is hurt that I don't like it (even though my likes and dislikes were discussed a lot and this all could have been avoided)....So here I am, almost 2 years later, looking at a ring every day that gives me more negative thoughts than positive (The proposal was a disaster. The ring was the wrong size and after getting it resized, the ring was ruined so the diamonds had to be reset in a different ring....that he ended up making it to be a replica of the trash ring). On the bright side, I no longer cry over it at some point every day. YES I love my fiancé and I cannot wait to be his wife. But I also cant wait to get a replacement.

I completely understand. Love the man. No real emotional attachment to the ring.
