I love mine. He tricked me telling me that I wasn't getting the ring I wanted. I would've accepted any ring...

I have two. My grandma's ering that I inherited, and the one FH originally proposed with. It's a claddagh, and I adore the meaning, but I can't say it's 100% my style. I love that he picked it on his own and that he picked something that is meaningful to him (he has a claddagh as well that he's worn for years), so I didn't *not* like it, it just isn't my style looks-wise, but that isn't what matters.

Mine actually did a good job on picking mine out. I knew there was a proposal in the future so I told him the cuts I liked the gold color I preferred ect. I liked that he picked one out on his own.

Absolutely not! I love my ring.

More than that, I love the meaning and the promise that comes with it.

I couldn't imagine not liking it.

When my fiancé proposed, the ring he had chosen didn't match my promise ring, the promise ring made the engagement ring look too small. So we went together to exchange it, when we did we chose a 3stone ring that perfectly match our promise ring, but... when I came to show it off to my best friends (3 of them) one of them had a smaller version of my ring, and sh*t went on about how I wanted to out do her, it became awkward. So now my fiancé and I will be upgrading (changing) our engagement rin, again. Lol sigh.

When we started getting really serious and talking about being engaged/married, I told FH what kind of ring I wanted. I told him I wanted a halo and a super skinny band. And that I liked delicate. He picked out a round center stone which I probably wouldn't have picked but as soon as I saw it I loved it. It's everything I wanted and I love that he picked it out for me.

I love my ring. My only wish is that he went to a local jeweler rather than zales. I had a lot of issues with it when I first got it and it had to get replaced (same style) but now I'm afraid of anything happening to it and I take it off all the time.

I adore my ring, because he got it custom made and it has really pretty detail of the hylian emblem from Legend of Zelda on each side. Nerd alert, AmIRight?

I love mine, but I picked it. FH asked me to show him styles that I liked and then he would go off that. I sent him about 10 pictures over a couple months and he picked the one I had sent to him twice without realizing it.

I did not like mine, my FH picked it and Suprised me! Wore it for 3 years (we have a long engagement) and actually picked one out myself today for my wedding ring! Love that he picked it out himself and his proposal was amazing but it just wasn't my style!

I picked mine. DH and I went to the jewelry store together and bought it and got engaged right there! He had some idea of what I wanted but he was terrified to go himself and pick something. It was fun to go together! He loved picking his wedding band though. We didn't have any input into each other's bands other than a price point. I was thrilled when he found the one he wanted!

I always told my fiance that I would love anything he picked out for me because I knew the meaning behind it. However, he's he type that would never buy me anything without making sure I liked it first. I think it's adorable that he cares so much about that Smiley smile So yes, I showed him exactly what I wanted. He did surprise me by secretly having it made and planning how to propose much sooner than I expected.

I had no idea what I wanted and didn't want to pick out my ring. FH designed my ring and it's perfect! I seriously love it

When we were dating, I didn't give much thought to what type of ring I'd want. FH had once mentioned buying just the stone and using it in a placeholder solitaire setting and then designing/picking out the ring together. That's what a friend of ours did.

Prior to our engagement, if I'd had my druthers, I would have chosen a setting where the ring looked like a flower. Something about that struck me as unique and clever.

Well, FH ended up picking the setting all on his own. His brother runs a store that buys and resells jewelry and he had emailed FH with a picture of it. FH bought it right then and there, and held onto it for a while.

Mine has a channel set band with the main stone in the middle. It wasn't what I expected, but I didn't really know what to expect either. But now the ring has grown on me and I couldn't imagine the ring looking like anything else.

I love mine, but I picked out the band. The diamond is an heirloom so I didn't know what it looked like altogether until FH proposed and I couldn't love it anymore

One of my friends told me last week that if her boyfriend doesn't propose with the ring she wants, she will hate him (being serious). Hopefully that doesn't happen

He had an idea for a custom designed ring, but I was very picky about what I liked and did not like. I definitely did not want him to spend the exorbitant price for a custom, only for me to hate it because the stone was cut into the wrong shape, or it was the wrong color gold.

We went shopping together and I absolutely fell in love with a ring, which he ended up buying. He also ended up picking his ring out himself, and we are both super ecstatic with our choices.

FH and I also picked mine out together. In the end, he got the final say, but I got to voice my opinions along the way. Turns out he was WAY pickier than I was. I'm surprised on here how many brides picked out their rings or went with their FH/FW to pick!

FH was going to get my ring as a complete surprise but the jeweler/family friend scared him my stressing "Are you sure this is what she wants? She will be wearing it for the rest of her life!" Well that made FH tell me and ask me to get ideas of what I liked and didnt like in a ring. We looked and designs together to determine what would be the right size for my fingers.

In the end, he still went with his original plan with a few tweaks from my requests. All I told him was that I wanted sapphires but not as the main stone. He ended up custom designing a ring that I love. SO I knew he was proposing but I didnt know the date or what the final ring looked like.

He put a lot of thought and effort into it and I wouldnt change it for anything!

I picked my setting, thankfully. He likes massive chunky settings that take up my entire finger.
