I have always said I would never ever ever get a tattoo on me . Well when i had children I did. I also said it's no way in Hell i would ever get a man name husband or not excluding my dad . Well guess what i did. I call it a fool in love tattoo. But I love it.

I have FH's name on my wrist in red...I'm thinking about getting it redone in black though.

Omg, CARMEN!! I wanted to do almost the same thing!! I wanted the same symbols from Hedwig, but on either side, not on the front so much, and I didn't even think of putting a quote or anything... it's lovely!!! and is that really a picture of you, or just of someone with a similar tattoo??? if it is, you have a flipping amazing body, I am jealous ;D

And as for the topic... i personally, having been in a 6yr relationship that split very abruptly, don't think i'd really care if i ended up having a tattoo of his name on me. I'm one of those people that sees all these things as part of my life, and would love to remember them all.

and having that said, I do want to do this. My FH doesn't want any tattoos, he's very clean-cut lol, but I find spiritual connection with changing my looks, and i'm such an artistic person that I really want to make my body my most amazing canvas, if that makes sense to anyone...

I was thinking of doing a flower of some sort, with our names and the date of our anniversary on it. My thought is, if we were to end for some reason, I would go back and have the tattoo altered to a wilted one, and make my new one beside it. it would look REALLY odd to other people, but a good memorial to all of my past loves IMO!

But I agree with some folks about, instead of doing names, just getting matching tattoos.
