I just received their 2019 and 2020 pricing.

Things to note- the pricing does not include linens, chair or glassware. You also need to hire your own licensed liquor purveyor, as they are not licensed to sell alcohol.

It also does not include chairs and tables - u have to use what they have there or rent your own. The chairs are ugly. Tables are fine but if u have more than 100 people u won’t have enough round tables. If you don’t user Merri Makers u are responsible for getting and dropping off the key and they take your liscence when you pick it up. IF u want to drop things off earlier u have to pay an extra $40 an hour. My contract is standard which is from 1 to 11:30. To drop things off at 7am I’m paying $40 for every hour even though drop off only takes minutes I have to pay for 7am, 8am all though 11:30. And you have to get all the rentals picked up the night off - most places wanted between $600 and $1000 k to do so. We hated Merri Makers food and menus. I would not suggest this venue unlesss you have a lot of patience and big money.

Hi Jessica, My fiance and I looked at this venue in December 2018. We ultimately decided not to get married in New Jersey, but Patty from Merri Makers was really nice and helpful when we visited and the location is fantastic, right on the beach. You also have the option to do a bonfire on the beach, though I think they only allow one per weekend (or month, I can't remember which) so you have to get a permit for that and check the dates, etc. The event space is essentially brand new, and there's a nice deck for cocktail hour. You can also have your ceremony next to the ocean or in a gazebo across the street. But like other people on this thread commented, it is very much a DIY space. If your daughter wants to handle everything herself, then this would be a good venue for that, but there is nothing included in terms of decorations. Also, as someone else mentioned, if you don't use Merri Makers as the caterer, there are a bunch of other responsibilities that fall to you that may be stressful on your daughter's wedding day (unless you hire a coordinator and even then, it could be a hassle). When I looked here, I realized I was going to need to hire a coordinator just to handle all the details day of, especially to manage the drop-offs and pick-up of whatever chairs, tables, decor pieces, etc. we had to rent because of the rental restrictions. So, to summarize, it is a nice, clean space with a fantastic location but I would only pursue it if your daughter is keen to do all of the planning, decorating, coordinating, etc. herself. I hope this helps!

Hi! My husband and I were just married at Taylor on October 19,2019 and it was absolutely amazing. We used Falcos for catering, whom I would highly recommend over Merry Makers. We also used Rustic Drift to rent chairs and tables and it was beautiful. Both Falcos and Rustic Drift are very familiar with the pavilion and set everything up exactly as I wanted. We hired an employee of Belmar named George to open the venue, clean afterwards and stay for the event to take care of any unforeseen maintainence issues. This eliminated the need to pick up a key or hire a cleaning service. He was so nice and wonderful. I am happy to answer any other questions or concerns you have. You simply cannot match the views or location of Taylor!
