anyone ever ordered from modcloth.com?

Becky, on March 19, 2014 at 10:43 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18

I FINALLY found exactly what I want for shoes at the right price, with a good enough return policy to get me to take the leap of ordering online...and then it turns out they don't have my size! The site says to order a 1/2 size larger as they run small, and it let me notify them that I want a certain size and they may get it in, but do any of you know if that actually happens?

I want red wedges that aren't too tall for under $40!

I bought red shoes from them! I love them. But they're too big I need to buy new ones because I didn't exchange them fast enough.

Heather, did you order your usual size or up a 1/2 like they recommend? They have two pairs I like and would be ok with and one comes in my usual size (an 8)

I bought these. I'm usually between sizes but sometimes I a 6 is too right so I ordered a 6.5.

I have bought a couple dresses. Generally what the comments say is true.

I bought a BM dress for my friends wedding. Was originally out of stock in my size and about a week later got notice it was back in. True to size and fit great.

    I. Love. Modcloth.

They have the BEST customer service. If you'd like, you can get in touch with their customer service and see if they have a date your size will be back in stock. I've done it multiple times.

They also have easy return policy, which I've used a lot. One of the flaws with Modcloth is that they have lots of designers, and even items with the same name (in different colors) might be very different. And since they don't have a physical store and you can't try anything on, it's great that it's easy to return stuff.

Agree 100% with Stephanie. It is amazing! They are great about getting dresses back in when desired. I've never ordered shoes though.

Among other things (I think 90% of my dresses and a good 50% of my wardrobe is from Modcloth), I've got these shoes that aren't available anymore: http://www.modcloth.com/shop/shoes-heels/neap-tide-heel. Totally satisfied.

I will probably direct my BM's to Modcloth to get their dresses since I am allowing them to wear whatever they want as long as it's green Smiley smile

I love Modcloth - I'm wearing a Modcloth sweater right now, in fact. Shoes can be a bit hit or miss in terms of quality, but I've never had issues with returns and exchanges.

Usually in the reviews you can also see if people agree with the sizing. If there aren't any reviews yet, I'd follow modcloth's advice re: sizing.

The do have a good return policy, the only drawback is that they sell out of popular items quickly-- they would still probably be able to give you a credit, but not necessarily a different size replacement.

Love ModCloth! I ordered a swimsuit from there and it worked out well. I ordered boots from there and despite the reviews and sizing up they didn't fit well. I sent the back and got a refund no problem.

I recently ordered a dress from there and it worked out good. I love that people an review items and post pictures how they look in the item. It helps to see how certain items fit various body shapes.

I've also ordered different accessories as gifts for friends and they have all been happy with them.

I have no idea if they get things back in stock though so I can't answer about that. Sorry!

Tons of times. I love shopping there, and I love how easy it is to return things. Just be careful to never return for store credit. I did that once and then ordered something else with the store credit, but when I needed to return that too, they would only refund me for store credit. I didn't realize that once you say store credit, it is absolutely final.

I'm actually wearing shoes from Modcloth right now.

Wanted to add: Paris is right. They also restock based on demand, so asking for a restock notification will increase the likelihood (a lot) that the item will be restocked in the size you want.
