Anyone else planning to walk down the aisle to a very non-traditional song?

Hey WW friends Smiley smile. I'm Jen and I'm new here (just got engaged a couple weeks ago!). My fiance and Adam and I are from Long Island, NY and have just started planning/thinking of ideas!

Just wondering, is anyone else planning on including some less-traditional wedding songs in their ceremony?

Adam is a BIG video game fan. One of his favorites is Final Fantasy VII. I've listened to the soundtrack (and some YouTube videos of string quartets playing the songs), and most of the songs are very pretty. We figured this could be something fun to throw in to surprise our video game-savvy friends, while our relatives think nothing of it, since it just sounds like a nice classical piece of music.

However now my problem is finding a string quartet that will actually know how to/be willing to play video game cover songs....any suggestions/tips from anyone who's done something similar?

Thanks for the help! Smiley smile

Jen

I am a huge beyonce fan and will be walking to 1+1... I am looking for somewhat of an edit tho. I think this will make your wedding personal and yours. The song should have special meaning to you and ur fh... If your guest really know you they'll get it Smiley smile

So far I'm thinking an instrumental version of Nothing Else Matters... Originally done by Metallica, but I absolutely fell in love with it when I heard it done by Apocalyptica (cause cellos can be hardcore too Smiley tongue lol) Smiley laugh I'm expecting most people to not recognize it, a couple people to think I'm goofy for picking it, and everyone to enjoy it Smiley laugh
