My cousin is Jewish and extremely religious so she would not have been able to attend my wedding if it were on a Saturday due to her beliefs. (They can't use electricity from sun down Friday to sun down Saturday.) Thankfully my FH understood how important my relationship with her was (She was there for me during some extremely tough times) and we decided on a Sunday wedding. After going to venues and seeing prices, we realized just how awesome this decision was. Are there any other Sunday brides out there? Why did you pick it?

I'm getting married on a Sunday since that'll be my FH's and my three year dating anniversary! We decided we didn't want to try to remember more dates of important life events than necessary

I am getting married on a Sunday... after going to the venue that I wanted to get married at and seeing how much it cost... I about fainted but it was a couple thousand dollars cheaper to get married on a friday or sunday and as we started thinking about it... My FH works at an automotive factory and they work 6 days a week 10 hr shifts.. and a couple of his groomsmen and some of his friends work there too and having it on a sunday none of them have to worry about having to work... So it just worked better for us!

FH and I are getting married on a Sunday mainly because it's when the venue had availability in the month we wanted.

I was considering a Sunday to begin with since most venues were cheaper on Sunday than Saturday. Of course the venue we picked was the same price for either day.

Also, the majority of our guests are retired, so their travel day of the week didn't really matter.

We are a Sunday, too. It was cheaper. We figured if people had to travel for the rehearsal dinner, what is the difference b/n traveling on a Friday or on a Monday?
