Anyone else crabby before the wedding?

Rachel, on June 29, 2017 at 1:39 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 15

I am very excited for our wedding in 10 days, but I am so crabby. I feel like we bicker about little stupid stuff more than we usually do. I notice myself having a shorter fuse than normal. I don't want this to impact us being excited in the remaining days. Help! How do I get out of this funk?

Hey date twin!!! I understand. Try to relax. Maybe u and FH do a quick date night or get a massage. Something to kick up a little romance and destress you! It definitely is a lot going on and you are down to the wire. I feel it's normal to feel that way.

Are you taking time off? Maybe you need time to chill out before the wedding.

Stresssss.... it does it every time for me and my FH. It's not good when we are both in the stressed and crabby mood lol! Take some time to relax and pamper yourself Smiley smile congratulations!

Take the whole week off if you are working. You'll feel a lot better.

I am getting stressed out and snappy. My FH hasn't really been in loved in the fine details (submitting paper work to venue, seating chart, timeline). When I ask him to help, he just doesn't get how that tiny gesture would alleviate so much stress. I have my first dress fitting tomorrow and I'm so anxious about it not fitting. So I kinda owe him an apology - ughhh LOL. He's been great for everything else wedding related haha

Stress! My big day is Saturday and I'm gonna be driving most of the day on Friday, so I only have today to get home everything together and ready to go. Pulling together last minute details. Definitely stressed and super crabby! I'm also PMS-ing. Wooooo.

DH and I had huge argument over something minor the night before the wedding. And according to everyone else we were the most laid back Bride and Groom. definitely would recommend carving out some you time to decompress from wedding mania during the days leading up to the big event.

Oh this is so freaking normal!!! I almost ripped my DH head off before the wedding. As soon as I walked down that aisle, the clouds parted and the rainbows came out and I was normal again. It's the stress.

Honey, I am crabby all the time. No one's going to notice if I get a little crabbier as I get a little more stressed. Smiley smile

(Seriously, it is TOTALLY normal, even for normally un-crabby people. If you feel you're starting to wind up, take a second, walk away from whatever it is -- literally if you can -- and take some cleansing breaths.) (Not being all airy-fairy here; see http://www.health.harvard.edu/mind-and-mood/relaxation-techniques-breath-control-helps-quell-errant-stress-response)

Totally normal. Can be stress, anxiety, nerves etc.

Just focus on end goal and remind yourselves of what you are doing and why and enjoy.

After a 10 hour travel day yesterday, we were picking at each other all day. We both took a few days off before the wedding which helped but tensions are high so you're bound to get snippy. The good thing is you recognize it and that is half the battle!

Yup.. we are 44 or 43 days out and I've been stressed and irritable. I have bad anxiety, plus I am a manager at work (all the stresses lol) and in college still. I've got a VERY full plate. I don't think it's out of the ordinary. Relax and do something nice for yourself if you can

Thanks everyone. Sometimes others (not in our bride role) don't exactly understand, so I was starting to think it was just me. I appreciate all of you taking time to comment and share you're thoughts and suggestions. That in itself has been helpful!
