Anyone doing a Sweetheart Table?

Oh So, on March 25, 2011 at 6:05 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 17

What are you doing for decoration? I don't want to over do it but I also don't know what to do. The guest tables have the diff. size cylinders with submerged roses and a floating candle. I was thinking a small dish with water and petals and a candle on top?

What are you ladies doing?

I need inspirations!

I'm doing a sweetheart table but haven't put any thought into how to decorate it yet. I'm glad you posted this as hopefully we'll both get some good input.

We did a smaller arrangement from earlier in the day and candles. Those who have special toasting glasses have those at their place setting as well....often your seating cards will be there (just like the guests, but yours say Bride and Groom). Some people lay their bouquet on the table for decor with candles. Have fun!

Oh I like that idea Singing Diva, I never heard of that but thats really cute! I am planning on using a sweet heart table as well, but had no idea how to decorate it! Flowers cost a lot of money, and using bridesmaid flowers is a good way to keep costs down..thats if my bridesmaids let me have their boquet! LOL.

Like Singing Diva, I would just use the bouquets as decoration! We're having a head table, not a sweetheart table, but we'll be doing the same thing.

We are doing a head table, but it is only the four of us. We are actually putting our flutes on the cake table. My FH is opening the champagne for our toast at the cake table. This way it won't be odd to have the BM look down at us to toast.

My decor....Hayely did a mock up for me. The only difference is the color of the potted plants(ours will be cognac or brown and wrapped in gold paper. Also, my letters are brown and gold. Other things missing(because I didn't tell Hayley) are clear glass votives with ivory candles and some fall foliage across the table. I also have brown chargers, ivory napkins monogramed with M in gold, and gold napkin holders. Since my MOH is not having a bouquet(wants a wrist corsage), we have no floral decor, so we will be putting our bouquet on our Sweet Table.

We're also doing a sweetheart table ... I will be taking the BMs bouquets and displaying them around my bouquet Smiley smile My bouquet in the middle and the BMs like lying next to it, around the edge of the table! That way the all the bouquets are in the pictures of me and FH at the sweetheart table ...

We're doing a sweetheart table, and our florist just said use my bouquet to decorate it. So I'm going to that, since it seems like it would save us money, plus have a nice flower arrangement on the table

I actually have the same centerpieces as you! For our sweetheart table we're going to just do a scaled down version of the centerpiece. But instead of a long stemmed rose, we'll have just the bud of the rose.

We are doing a sweetheart table. And then slight behind it will be the bridesmaid and groomsmen at two seperate rectangle tables on both side. Just like this pic, but there will be great amount of space between the tables. Our table will be decorated with crystal swag, and pretty tropical flowers!

We are doing a sweetheart table. The one at our venue is like a 1/2 round table so it is going to be pretty small for our plates, glasses and anything else, so I am just going to put my bouquet on the table.

I am only having an MOH, but I like your idea of putting the bridesmaids bouquets on the table, so I might have to convince my MOH to give up her bouquet for a while!

We will be doing a sweetheart table and my florist actually came up with the idea of using the floral arrangement that will placed on the table where the unity candle will be, for our sweetheart table at the reception. I will just need to ask someone in our wedding party to transport it from the church to the venue. We really liked the idea because it saved us money we would need to spend to decorate our table.

We are doing a sweetheart table and just putting the same table cloths and overlays but using my bouquet as the centerpiece. I figure the table is tiny enough, why clutter it?
