Anyone ditching the traditional sleeping arrangement?

FH and I will have been living together for 2 years by February and this is a 2nd marriage for each of us. We have secured a hotel block and are staying at that same hotel Friday through Monday for our Sunday wedding. I am not superstitious, and I'm putting my dress on at the venue, anyway, so there...

FH and I will have been living together for 2 years by February and this is a 2nd marriage for each of us. We have secured a hotel block and are staying at that same hotel Friday through Monday for our Sunday wedding.

I am not superstitious, and I'm putting my dress on at the venue, anyway, so there will still be "surprise" for him with that part. Is it weird to not want to kick him out of our hotel room for the morning? I envision us driving to the venue together and then finishing getting ready there, separately.

    Very cool, Cordelia 🙂 I hadn't thought about a first look, but it seems it's a very popular part of weddings these days. I suppose I should ask FH if he wants in on that trend lol

    My FH and I definitely will be together the night before our wedding, as we have already been living together for over 2 years. It would feel so weird to sleep alone and I would be super anxious! We will probably sleep as we normally do, with our dog hogging the bed in between us Smiley smile

    My partner asked me this the other day, whether I'd want to stay apart the night before the wedding. I told him no one else would keep me calm / make me feel excited about the day ahead like he would, so why would I want to stay with anyone else? Smiley smile We're not traditional by any stretch of the imagination either, and like you live together anyway (almost 7 years).

    My husband and I slept in the same hotel room the night before our wedding. The morning of we were both up super early b/c he played golf with his groomsmen and a few close friends and I had a nail appointment. I loved that we had some time together right before the craziness of the day started.
