Anyone changing from heels at ceremony to flats at reception?? I need some help!

I am wearing a 3.5 in heel at the ceremony but then wanted to change into flats to be more comfortable at my reception. However, at my dress fitting, the lady told me that my dress would be dragging quite a bit (which makes sense) so now I am in need of finding a heel/wedge that is comfortable...

I am wearing a 3.5 in heel at the ceremony but then wanted to change into flats to be more comfortable at my reception.

However, at my dress fitting, the lady told me that my dress would be dragging quite a bit (which makes sense) so now I am in need of finding a heel/wedge that is comfortable enough to dance in and be standing for a long time in that is around 3.5 inches (not less than 2).

Anybody have the same problem? Any ideas or suggestions?1

I am bringing a pair of flats just in case. But I'm hoping to find a pair of heels that are comfortable to wear all day and get gel inserts as well.

I have wide feet that can't put up with much! I'm wearing low wedge shoes for the whole thing.

My coworker had her dress hemmed to a length between heels and flats and she said it was perfect! It was only an inch/inch and a half short for heels which wasn't noticeable and wasn't too long either.

I've already got both my 3" heels for the ceremony and my flats for the reception. I love both pairs but Im really worried about the dress dragging and me tripping over it for the reception. I don't want to look sloppy! Im debating now if I even wear the heels at all but its a tough decision because I love them!!! I have 4 months before my first fitting so I'll lose sleep every night until then on what to do lol
