Anybody have any ideas for a groom who doesn't want to wear a suit and tie?

FH doesn't want to wear a jacket or tie for the wedding and I'm having trouble picturing what he'll wear. We're having a vintage, laid back wedding so I was thinking maybe having all the guys in suspenders and gray dress pants? Would it look okay if the groomsmen had bow ties and FH didn't? He wants to stick out some from the rest of the bridal party. Ideas?

My FH doesn't want a jacket or suit either. We are doing grey dress pants, darkish brown shoes, suspenders, bow tie, and a white shirt. It is a rustic style wedding, so it works for us.

My DH wore a button down shirt, jeans and cowboy boots... if it fits what your doing then go with whatever works.

My FH is doing grey slacks, white shirt, suspenders and either a bow tie or a bolo. We are having a laid back rustic wedding so it fits

If you're going vintage he should be wearing a hat, tie, and jacket. However you can do vintage with modern twists. How about a really nice fedora, paired with beautifully tailored pants and shirt. And great shoes. Suspenders would work if you wanted to include them. The key to this is getting him impeccably tailored garments (no off the rack).

But I don't think the groomsmen should be more formal than the groom. If he's not wearing a tie or jacket none of them should be. You can differentiate with the colors they're wearing

He wants a navy vest and NO tie (that's his emphasis, not mine lol) with burgundy suspenders

What about a vest for the groom and suspenders for his groomsmen?

This is the look we're going for. I just told them no khaki or anything that will wrinkle easily. Super easy and affordable look.

We're also going w/ vests. My FH hasn't worn a suit in his life. He's just not that kind of guy.

    Which is fine by me.

They're doing black slacks with either - black shirt grey vest or grey shirt black vest.

With a colored tie and black shoes.

I was like- yeah sure. that's fine. Lol

My FH wants to do either suspenders or vests, whichever the guys prefer (no jackets ) and wear bowties or regular ties. His tie color is what will set him apart, but that color has yet to be decided lol. It's going to be pretty relaxed.
