Any experience renting wedding flowers?

Karina Marie, on August 10, 2022 at 11:58 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 3

Hi ladies,

I have a quick questions about your experience renting flowers.

We are getting married here in Raleigh, NC at the Brier Creek Country Club on a very intimate wedding of 50 people. The estimates for the real flowers were very expensive, even more than what we are paying for our wedding at the Country Club. So we decided to go with a local company name Borrow the Blooms. I saw them at the NC Expo a few months ago and their flowers are incredible, they look very real and also smell delicious.

Also, the price is exactly what I wanted to pay only $2K, however, I am nervous and I really wanted to ask if you guys had any experience renting flowers in some point and if you can share your experience.

Thank you,

Glory

Several weddings are going with the artificial flowers here. It may be nice to have a real flower bouquet for yourself and maybe to toss. But that seems great to have well-made scented flowers. I would miss the scent if these were unscented. If some people are reactive to the scents, they might have to move the flower arrangement to another table.

I don't know what we'll be doing yet.

I was in a wedding last year with rented flowers, and you could not tell the difference. Nobody noticed, cared, or commented. Make sure you have an appointed person to collect all of the rentals at the end of the night though, one bridesmaid got plastered and lost her bouquet and cost the bride a pretty penny!

I honestly didn't know flower rental was a thing. I'm making my own centerpieces, bouquets, and boutineers, all for hopefully under $800. I think I'd be nervous about stuff getting misplaced for rented boquets, but sounds like maybe it would be a cheaper alternative in yoru area.
