Any 2017 Cruise Brides?!! Need Advice

Hey there lovers!

My FH and I are thinking about doing a cruise wedding. While docked so that those who can't cruise can still attend. Any advice on which line? Use a travel agent or not? Best option for a cruise line? We prefer leaving out of NY with about 100 or so guest (ahh!)

    My fiancé and I are considering Carnival Cruise lines. We chose them because of the great reviews for weddings and their new ship, Vista. With the travel agent, the deposit amounts are much lower ($50 vs $250). Your guests can have a choice of monthly or lump sum. Also can have a group rate and after 8 rooms are booked yours could be free.

    Usually weddings like that happen in dock before you leave (license issues).

    We've done Royal Caribbean, and have always had a great time.

    Be careful about a cruise for the wedding-- even post wedding. Definitely use a travel agent. That does not cost you a thing and gets you a professional on your side. Is this your first cruise? If so, do not underestimate sea sickness. Most people get a touch of it at some point during the trip, the beginning most of the time. But book the largest ship you (and your guest) can afford and avoid hurricane season! Bon Voyage!
