Breathe! You have plenty of time.

Have you gotten a planning book? Many of us find them helpful.

Also, both the Knot and WW have timelines under "Planning Tools", and those are really useful for figuring out when to do things.

I agree with Rebecca. Just take a deep breath and tackle 1 task at a time. I found the timeline provided by The Knot very helpful. I actually didn't even get a planning book. The virtual tools and these forums gave me all the help I needed!

I'm not anxious in that same sense, but everytime I get quotes from florists and photographers I think I have a minor panic attack just realizing how expensive things can be. I'm not very DIY (although I could be if I wanted to, I just don't enjoy it at all) so it really is stressing me out. Each time we do book something, or make a plan it does give me a sense of relief. I'm very Type-A so not having it all figured out (and we don't have an official official budget yet so I don't know what is a realistic amount to accept for a quote from vendors) is very stressful to me.

It’s a stressful process. The main vendors I would suggest trying to book early are (1) venue (2) photographer, and (3) caterer. Those are going to be the biggest portion of your budget and will help you start your planning. Just start emailing people you’re interested in, set up appointments, and go from there.
