I was able to finish paying our Photographer this morning! Now we just have to pay for catering and our donut display and all the big things should be taken care of which is a relief!
I've been trying really hard to keep track of every purchase for the wedding and who paid for it on an excel spreadsheet. I'm sure I've missed a few small things, but I am very glad I thought to keep track. It helps keep me in check a lot, because it is soooo easy to get carried away spending money on your dream wedding!
My FH and I have been very blessed to receive a considerable amount of financial support from both sets of parents--about $3k from each side. After we pay for catering we will be about $500 under our total budget. Which is good, but also kinda nerve wracking because that's cutting it veryyyy close! And with 3 months til the big day I'm sure there will be more last minute expenses. I'm hoping we don't have to go over, but I'm thinking it might end up happening.
Oh and I just remembered I have dress alterations in February! So that'll take a chunk out.
I remember in June, my cousin got married. I had scoffed when I heard her wedding cost almost $15k and I swore my wedding would never cost that much! I set out thinking I could do $5k *insert laughter here*. And if we had stuck with a church wedding we might have been able to! But there were too many bigger things I really wanted like a barn venue and a photographer. So now I think back to my earlier wedding cost comments and cringe at my judgment. Ours will be less than $15k but only by a few thousand!
Counting my blessings though because at least we will not go into debt for this wedding!! And I've learned my lesson to never judge how much someone spends on a wedding!!
