Am i moving too fast with planning?

Catriece, on June 16, 2019 at 11:47 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
I don’t get married for another 6 months and 3 days and I’m already ready to set up an appt with a makeup stylist for a trial run! And also want to go into a nail salon to get some ideas! I’m antsy, and a bit impatient! Am I moving to fast? Should I slow down?

side note: I start my last semester of college in two months, will be student teaching with a part-time job up until a week before my wedding day. I’m trying to get as much as I can done before I begin classes!

Not at all!! For make-up trials and what-not, finding out what you do and don't like with time to spare is important as far as I see it, since it means you have time to perfect the look you want, rather than rushing last minute
Some brides only need one trial run, some need plenty. Giving yourself time for as many as you need is a smart move I think, just in case you need to tweak it multiple times

No way, I think you are doing all the right things. Especially before starting school.

Get EVERYTHING done that you can. I’ve been 98% done for months and it’s a great feeling. I’m not rushing around doing anything and it’s virtually stress free - I’m able to actually enjoy this season of my life. No reason to wait until the last minute for anything.

I hope not cause that means I am too haha! I'm getting married next May and I set up a make up trial for mid-July (a lot of the make up artists I liked are already booked for next year!). I also put a deposit down for my hair trial.

    Enjoy every second of it!

Nope. I booked mine right away, probably a year in advance. They are family friends with no complicated pricing so I just went ahead and did it.

I don't think so. I did a trial before I even booked my HAMU artist (12 months out) but I am doing another one this Friday (1 month out). I've been researching nail ideas for months. I'd rather be overprepared.

In my opinion, its never too early to start planning your wedding! It's your special day, and you want everything to be perfect! Ideally, it should only happen once! lol
