My wedding is in 7 weeks, so it's getting to crunch time. I am getting accusations of being a "bridezilla" from a couple of the women in my bridal party because I asked them not to cut their hair.

I let all of my bridesmaids pick their own dresses, I just assigned a color palette and asked that it be floor length. The only thing I have asked for specifically is to not cut their hair short/shorter than it already is. My MOH and one bridesmaid are making a big stink about it. The bridesmaid went ahead and cut her hair very short anyway, and then I found out she has an appointment 2 weeks before the wedding to take it up to the same length as it was after the first cut. I asked her to postpone the appointment and she got really annoyed with me.

I could mayyyybe see this being ok if you were paying for everyone to have an updo. I'm saying this because it happened in my friends wedding. She wanted updos and a girl cut her hair and she was super annoyed. But it really didn't matter in the end. They all looked beautiful with their hair styled the way they wanted it to be! Don't stress about it, it really wont matter down the line.

I would never considering asking my bridesmaid to cut/not cut their hair.. that is bridezilla.

Thank god I am not your bridesmaid/moh because I would have refused to even come to your wedding if you ever asked me to do anything like that. lol

I'm glad you realize it! I would make a quick apology to these two people for your 'zilla moment and losing perspective on what matters. Buy them lunch and tell them you love them and can't wait to have them in your wedding because you love them.

The hair really doesn't matter. ETA: I would also update the original post to say you realized and aren't going to make a big deal about their hair cuts, because people will likely continue to comment without reading the whole thread to realize you had the change of heart

Yes. Why does it matter? they should be able to cut their hair however they want FFS. You choose them to stand up with you because of your relationship with them (hopefully) not for what they look like.

"I don't like short hair on two particular people" wow, so friendly. I mean, screw them if they like the way they look, right OP?

@OP I would apologize and let them do what they want to their hair. If a haircut doesn't work for them, that's for them to decide.

So glad you realized this op! Weddings can make us all a little crazy but don't lose sight of yourself and your relationship with your friends!

FutureMrsE- I think she's entitled to think someone has a bad hair cut- or a less than flattering cut.

She should keep that opinion to her self quite frankly unless asked- but she's certainly entitled to think that.

Sure she can think that, but then telling them not to cut their hair because she doesn't like them with short hair is different.

It's their hair, you don't get to dictate that. Eta just saw the update.

Yeah...I agree with pp's. You can't demand that they don't cut their own hair. They are your friends, not employees.
