Alternatives to Shakeology?

What are some good meal replacement shakes you've used? I like Shakeology but it's so expensive. Also, I like chocolate.

Vega essentials shake is nearly identical to shakeology and a 1/4 of the price! I buy it at Target, its got amazing ingredients. I buy the vanilla and drink it by itself with water mixed in, but if i have extra time my favorite is blending it with a few cubes of ice, a banana, and 2 scoops of almond butter. Love it!

I am not a fan of Vega, taste wise, but I try and do a protein shake daily to help boost my nutrition since I have some health stuff going on. I use Nutriboitics Rice Protein Powder, I like the chocolate flavor. It came recommended by my doctor, nutritionist and chiropractor. I am lazy but it takes 30 seconds to mix up.

I personally think Shakeolgy is a huge waste of money.

Out of all the protein powders I've used, Dymatize is my absolute favorite. Their chocolate cake batter flavor and cookies and cream flavor are always stocked at my house. If I'm wanting to add calories, I'll add half a banana or a tablespoon of nut butter to the chocolate to it. Sometimes I'll add a couple handfuls of spinach as well. I think it's about $30 or less for around 30 servings.

I'd say actual food. Frozen fruit, yogurt, protein powder, a blender. A minute later you have a shake without a lot of crap in it.

You could also make "overnight oatmeal". I make about five at a time for my partner, with oatmeal, yogurt and usually frozen blueberries. You let it sit over night (or for a couple of days) and it's great. Very filling too.

I sometimes use Vega (you can find it at Target), the taste isn't bad, I prefer the vanilla and chocolate ones. Another good one is from Advocare, I had a chocolate one they offer.

Another good option is smoothies, lots of greens, organic fruit, protein powder, flaxseed. They are really easy to make, and taste pretty good. I got recipes from a book, if you're interested, i can post them Smiley smile

I use Vanilla 100% Whey from Costco. I am super lazy in the mornings as well, so I have the blender container in the fridge with water already. I just take it out, blend up a handful of frozen strawberries, blueberries, and half a frozen banana. Then I throw in 1 scoop of protein powder. I double the amount of water though, because otherwise it is a little thick for me.

If I feel like chocolate, I just throw in chocolate powder and ice cubes, and it is very yummy. takes 5 minutes, even less if I portion out the fruit in a ziplock in the freezer before hand.

Slim Fast has an Advanced Nutrition with 20g protein and only 1g of sugar (their normal shakes have way too much sugar). Also Premier Protein has some tasty ones with low sugar. They only keep me full for like 2-3 hours though so I have to have another snack before my lunch.

I'm just here to agree with everyone saying Vega One. It doesn't taste quite as good as Shakeology, but the ingredients are excellent, and it doesn't taste bad. I like it blended with almond milk, a banana, and peanut butter if I need more calories.

I'm ALWAYS running late in the mornings, so my go to is ready-to-drink Muscle Milk protein drinks and a banana on my way to work.

I just purchase Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein Powder from GNC and make my own recipes. The 10 Day Green Smoothie book has hundreds of natural and sugar free smoothies in the back. I eat 5-6 times (3 small meals and 2 snacks) a day so I don't use these to replace meals but rather as one of my snacks.

I tried Vega. To me it's just OKAY. I recently maybe a month ago purchases Orgain. You can purchase it at Costco or GNC. I get chocolate. I LOVE it. Makes me super full & it affordable. It's $32 & 2.03lb. I mix mines with banana, peanut butter, some cinnamon, soy, ice. HEAVEN IN THE MOUTH it's so filling. It's my breakfast & dinner. I did shakeology for a month. After I was broke lol plus it never lasted as long as Orgain. I get the Plant Based protein powder. It's a meal replacement & weight loss

I use ideal shake. Vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry are my favorite and they are low sugar. I mix them with frozen fruit or peanut butter powder in the blender. I started with that a month ago and have already lost weight. Working out is key too if your goal is to lose weight.

I mix Optimum Nutrition protein powder with fruit and almond milk. It keeps me full just as long as my other breakfast go-to's do. I always bring some almonds to snack on in case I feel the need to chew something!

Idealshape. They're shakes stats are the most comparable to Shakeology at a fraction of the price. Great stats, taste delicious, and are really filling. I replace at least one meal a day to keep my weight on track. Good luck!

I used to swear by Body by Vi for meal replacements! They taste good and I would mix in a banana or something to add a flavor besides sweet cream. I'm just kind of maintaining now so I've been drinking the occasional Lean One. But that really worked for me! Good luck!

Premium Protien from Costco. $25 a box I think. They're a little spendy too, but they're great

I do the nutrition53 lean1 shakes. I keep my tub of it at work and a blender bottle and just mix with water and ice. I've been doing it for seriously like a year and am not sick of them yet! I make one when I first get to work and they typically tide me over until lunch. You can buy it online but shipping is a little high, if you sign up for their emails they do discounts occasionally. I did find that they sell it at bed bath and beyond and you can use one of those 20% off coupons! I found some that they had on sale, I think because the expiration date was like a month away, and they let me use a 20% coupon so I got them for like $6 a piece!
