A window pane will tell them what table and then there will be place cards at the table so the servers knows who gets what.

I used Etsy for my place cards. I have only put the deposit since, of course, I don't have a final count.

Amanda...I got blank escort cards I found at Michaels...100 for $20

The design was a screen shot of my invitations. I used photoshop to get the correct layout dimensions and to place everything where I needed it. My printer was a PITA but after I got one thru correctly, it wasn't hard to get the rest finished up. Smiley smile

I am doing escort cards. I have already bought a pack from Joanne's. They are white with silver border. Not too fancy.

I am still trying to decide exactly what I want to do cause it seems like I'm not gonna please anyone no matter how I do it...

Either I am going to sit down and make a very strict seating chart for everyone or just reserve seats for the BP and the parents and Grandparents and let everyone sit where they want...

It's just it's plated dinner and there are 3 choices so I have to let the servers know who gets what...

But I've already run into a few people complaining so ugh! DOn't know yet what I'm doing.

Thank you ladies. I am just trying to figure out what the best way to this is. I love the escort cards but something thinking about it makes me thik it's a pain in the rear for guests to have to find their name that way!

Kris S - OOOOO! I <3 the cupcakes. We are making mini pies for our guest as favors and maybe we could us them for the escorts? Hmmph

Sabrina - I really love the photo cologe idea! It's a great way to incorporate some pictures as well!

Cydney - Yes, everything is VERY vintage. I have thought of the skeleton keys but collecting those seems like a hassle and a half...

We are doing a travel ish theme - so we will have vintage post cards from the places we are each from, where we went to school and where we live now. We are also considering adding where we go on our honeymoon. Those will act as our table numbers and be in the center of the table.

Then the escort cards will be post cards matching the table number's card and their name on the back. We are going to use card stock. And my Step-Grandmother has post card display racks for us to use for the cards.

@ Jamie, maybe you can make your chalk board by using the chalk board paint on some sort of surface. I've never tried it, but from what I've read it seems pretty easy. Just an idea Smiley smile

Since our theme is old fashion/vintage, I found these blank old/vintage looking tickets at a local store. I am going to write the table numbers that they will be sitting at, and send them with their invitations. Since I know all of my guest will most likely be coming, so if only a few do not show up we will only have a few spots to take out. Come the BIG day, when they get to their table there will be Placement cards with their name on it, since we have a very strict seating Chart. I am making all my stationary, so it should be pretty plan and simple.

I hope this helps! Smiley smile

@Amanda we're still working through the logistics. I bought lollipop sticks at Michael's and made a little mockup with a favor tag tied on with a cute ribbon. It was super cute. Our meal is family style so we don't have to indicate a meal choice or anything. I guess if someone needs a special meal like vegan/GF/whatever we can just tell the catering staff "There's a GF plate at table #7" and they can figure it out.

I like the idea that the favors/cupcakes would be the first thing people see when they walk in the door. I guess it just depends on how you want things to look and what info you need to communicate to your caterer.

    Love mini pies!!!!!!!!

These are all really cute ideas!!!

Escort cards are doubling as favors. cakepops that look like golf balls in a bed of wheatgrass (getting married on a golf course)
