There has been plenty of posts in the past (and there will be tons in the future) regarding airbrush vs. traditional makeup. I’m making this discussion to distinguish the two for you and hopefully save some women time from having to research the two. (There aren’t a lot of informative websites out there. I’ve done the legwork)

If you’ve had your makeup trial OR your one of the already married gals, feel free to post pictures and let us know what you decided to go with and why. It’ll be fun to see plus it will provide some great makeup inspiration.

An option to consider would be NV by Jeunesse. It will achieve a professional, airbrushed look without the airbrush. NV BB Perfecting Mist Foundation blurs skin imperfections and delivers photo-ready coverage fast. NV™ includes a skin-perfecting primer, foundation and bronzer that give you an enviable, professional airbrush finish.

I just got my trail done and it was airbrush. I found that it looked caked on and when I blotted it a portion peeled off and you could see my natural skin and it was hard to touch up. It did stay on forever though which I liked because my wedding is outside and it will be hot. I'm not sure what to do!!

Does airbrush cover up problem areas as well as traditional makeup (acne scars, hyperpigmentation, etc)? I feel like I know my own skin very well and am so nervous, I’ve never had anyone else do my makeup.

I had mine done with traditional and it came out gorgeous. I had the option of either but for my trial I wanted contouring and she told me that traditional works best.

I just had my airbrush trial done and I don't like it so much it covers good but I don't have contour in my nose and cheek bone at all and it's see didn't cover good in my under eyes. My first photo is using air brush and 2 is regular make up.

I wear traditional makeup all the time and i know how to make it last but for my trial we did airbrush and I literally forgot I had makeup on that day! Feels super lightweight and I'm all about looking flawless in those professional pictures! Soooo nice and didn't feel greasy which is great because my wedding will probably be 90+ degrees!

Traditional all the way for me. I wanted glam for my wedding so when I did my trial for my engagement shoot, traditional is what was suggested. From doing my own research airbrush really isn't "it" when it comes to skin with color. Airbrush to me would have me looking like I normally

If my skin breaks out a lot, which one should I go for? I want all of my blemishes covered for sure.

I don’t usually wear a lot of make up so I was hesitant to try airbrush. I ended up trying it for my engagement pictures and I loved how light it was! My skin looked great in all the pictures (even if it wasn’t underneath).

I'm personally not a fan of airbrush. I have combination dry/oily skin with acne scarring & occasional SUPER dry skin around my nose and mouth. I had airbrush done as a BM for a wedding last year, and I wasn't happy with the result. I felt it clung to my dry skin and made it was more obvious. The artist tried to spray lotion to fix it, but it didn't work. I prefer traditional. But the MOH had really perfect smooth skin, and the airbrush looked great on her.

I have oily skin. I also spent most of my youth dancing. When I would perform, I always wore airbrush. It lasted through costume changes, hot lights, sweat, EVERYTHING. Airbrush for the wedding, at least an airbrush base would work.

I LOVE airbrush makeup and was totally set on it until my photographer and the make up artist recommended said to go traditional. I went and gave it a try and LOVED the traditional even more!

As someone who is planning to get married outside (in the afternoon), but who is pasty white, what is the best makeup option for someone who absolutely must wear sunscreen (and at least SPF30)?
