Ahhh!!! Bruises!!!

Candy, on May 19, 2013 at 11:43 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

So FH and I play on a coed softball team. When we have our wedding in 6 weeks we will still be in our regular season...I had never really thought about any potential issue until today!

Last night the third baseman from the other team ran straight into me whilt I was running full speed. I have a huge bruise on my arm and a really stiff back today, and I suddenly had a mini panic attack that I might look like this on my wedding day! Eek! Any other active brides freaked out by the potential of something like this?

I think I might sit our the week before the wedding....

I bruise really easy. I know what your talking about. If its a part of your arms that won't rub your dress apply concealer and power, so it won't show up in your pictures. But if you can sit out with the team having to forfit, I would sit out for two weeks to be sure just in case. Plus you'll be so busy at the last min.

I know how you feel! I have a couple of cat scratches on me along with some scars from old things that happened! I also have eczema I've been taking care of that but throughout the years my upper arms (where I get it the worst) has different shades of my skin tone! Mind you I have a strapless dress!!! Luckily between the curel lotion I've been using and my Jergens lotion for natural glow it has been helping!!

I'm a vegan and when i don't eat properly i tend to bruise a lot from lack of iron. Well, i wasn't exactly eating well wedding week - so i was bruised! luckily small bruises, and mostly to my legs.

however! i get horrible stress hives - oh, wedding week is stressful! so, there are several pictures of my wedding floating around with giant red hives on my chest, face and arms. probably more noticeable to me than anyone else - but what can you do! life happens both before and after the wedding.

if you are horribly worried about it - take the week off.

I would definitely be taking the week off, and have a back up plan with your MUA or find a suitable concealer to cover bruises in case it's needed on the wedding day.

I volunteer at an animal shelter walking dogs, and i regularly get jumped on, scratched, etc. i was worried about bruising for the wedding so i actually took the week before off from volunteering! i just knew if i didn't it would be the day i'd get headbutted in the face by an excited dog and end up with a black eye (it happened to a woman i volunteer with once!).

i say take the week off, just in case.

YUP! I have some bruising on my legs from general clumsiness and I'm worried they won't fade. The only time my legs will be seen is during the garter toss but still, I don't want these large hideous bruises showing at all. I've also stuck to working out at a gym instead of my running group so I don't trip and scrape myself up 3 weeks before the wedding.
