After wedding reception

Stephanie, on September 5, 2019 at 10:35 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 10
So the location of my Hotel for the night of my wedding and wedding reception are literally a 5 minute walk from each other. It seems silly to pay for transportation for a 1 minute drive. is it weird to have a grand exit just to walk away?

If the grand exit is important to you, go for it. We didn't have one. We were actually among the last to leave the venue at the end of the night.

We didn’t do a grand exit. In fact we took the party to a bar across the street from our hotel, but if you want to have one it should be fine to just walk to your hotel

I think it isn't cost effective to spend the money on transportation

I didn’t do a grand exit either. I had transportation for all guest so I hopped in one of the shutters with my guest and drove to hotel which was next to our venue if walk thru the beach. I had a last dance song but if a grand exit is important to you then you can do it for sure and just walk to your hotel.

Our grand exit (and most grand exits in my area) happen after the ceremony. Then there is a grand entrance to the reception. I've never seen anyone exit their reception.

Sure. Do it. Why not? You’re still exiting regardless of the distance of the hotel.

I think if you want a grand exit, you can definitely do it - regardless of whether you're walking to the hotel or hopping in a limo.

I don't think you have to do a grand exit at all in that case

You could do a grand exit but invite to guests to join you in a fun wedding parade back to the hotel (traffic and safe walking conditions aside of course). Get some glow sticks and some noise makers and you've got yourself a grand exit. Smiley laugh
