Affordable Wedding Jewelry

ashlynnisabella, on August 15, 2017 at 9:14 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 19

Hi everyone! Can y'all give me some places online that you've bought wedding jewelry from? I've attached a pic of my dress in the comments. The one piece of jewelry I've found so far that I like is from Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/listing/292117479/bridal-bracelet-white-crystal-wedding.) But, I'd like to check out some more! The one thing is, I'm allergic to nickel, so I can't do a lot of silver colored jewelry. Thanks!!

Look for hypoallergenic jewelry. And wearing nickel for a short time won't affect you that much.

I used Ella Winston for my hair piece, and I actually borrowed my necklace and bracelet from my mom and grandma as my "something old and something borrowed".

Ooh beautiful dress. What do you consider affordable? I got mine from Nordstrom for about $200 (earrings and bracelet). DB have even better prices, some BMs got jewelry from there for like $10 a piece.

Honestly, I got some really pretty jewelry from David's Bridal and they were reasonably priced. I bought my necklace (which came with matching earrings) for under $30. My bracelet was around $20. All of the jewelry is absolutely gorgeous and sparkles a ton under the light! I also went ahead and purchased my bridesmaids' jewelry. They had a buy one get one 50% off deal so that was affordable as well!

Your dress and gorgeous and ornate. I don't think you necessarily HAVE to have any jewelry. Maybe a simple drop necklace (like you have on in the photo). And if you're wearing your hair down, just simple earrings

Thanks guys! I didn't want to get too much jewelry, maybe just a simple necklace and a bracelet. I just never buy jewelry so I'm not too sure what the best places are! I'm also thinking maybe I should get a gold belt instead of silver.. Since my colors include gold and my ring is gold.. So much to do!!

I am allergic too and all the silver items are very expensive or not statement pieces.

My recommendation... get what you want and cover the back of it with clear nail polish! I found my wedding jewelry from Etsy for about $40, covered the back and wore it around for several hours without a problem.

@BeMyGuest It does affect me, after only an hour or so. It breaks me out and itches pretty badly.

@Candace The nail polish is a good idea!! I used to have to do that the the back of the button on my jeans!

I'm allergic too! I don't have as much of an issue with necklaces or bracelets, so I'm sorry if you do- my issue is earrings... my ears start hurting and itching and I swear the swell some.

I would agree with pp. buy what you like and coat the entire back in clear nail polish. That will provide a barrier between the jewelry and your skin.

I have the nickel issue too. It sucks, Many places should be able to tell you. Usually if they can't I bow out lol

I am actually allergic to nickel and 17 other metals/ fragrances/ crazy stuff. I did get a beautiful simple pearl and silver necklace from Etsy. I have been wearing it for a couple of weeks on and off for a couple of hours at a time to make sure that I do not react to it. I have not had any issues. I think that I am safe. Hopefully you will be able to find something but just make sure to wear it for at least an hour to make sure. Good luck.

Have you had a look at Blue Nile? They have some sterling silver, white topaz, and freshwater pearl pieces that are gorgeous and won't break the bank. Here are the ones I always recommend here because they are not costume jewelry and still very affordable. The earrings are $50 and the necklace is $55. They have several options depending on how intricate or flashy you are!
